When I first saw Hellraiser, I actually got quite turned on by the scene where the woman rises from the bed without any skin on.

hellraiser was amusing in a gory way.

Last House on the Left - it made me very uneasy to watch it. It's one of the few films I would not want to sit through again.

When I was a child my parents had gone out for the evening and my older brother made me sit and watch one of the zombie films, I think it was one of  Day of the Dead films and as a result of making me watch it, I spent years thereafter not being able to sleep without having a light on at night.

Isnt that the one with the little girl who burns the eyes out of the hamster with a cigarette?

ONe that got me when I was a kid was called (I think) Dont be afraid of the dark... little creatures that lived in the ducts of an old house, would come out at night.  I don't recall details all that well (I think I was 7 at the time), but it seems to me that at the end, the lead character got dragged into the ducts by these creatures and next you heard her say something like "I'm here with you grandpa"
(ok keep in mind, this was almost 40 yrs ago, so I could be misremembering)

Greedy,I think I remember that... the only thing that would deter them was light and I remember a scene where someone was being dragged in and they kept flashing a camera to try and stop them,is that the one?

I love the new picture of you, by the way. Lush!

I don't remember the scene of a girl who burns out the eyes of a hamster with a cigarette - thankfully! I was likely too busy hiding behind a cushion at the time lol

That's great and a very good picture. I like B & Bs. I need to get my pictures updated, it's long overdue! The face one on my profile is ovr four years old now, the other one of me was taken last year (or maybe the year before that). I would love to have some pics of my boy and I.

Back to movies - I'm still not able to watch zombie movies comfortably... and they're the only tpe that do bother me.

Did anyone here ever see Repulsion?  A black and white movie by Roman Polanski, with Catherine Deneuve.  I watched that on late night TV, and I suppose I was in an open state of mind...or maybe the movie is just that good at getting into your psyche.  I wasn't scared.  I was very disturbed, by it.  And it lingered, for weeks.

For a long time, every time I heard a sound like buzzing flies, it brought that movie back.

The first time I watched Clockwork ORange, when it got to the scene where thry were beating the old guy in the tunnel, I had to stop the movie.  Took me a week to go back to it, that scene just SERIOUSLY disturbed me on more levels than I can say, even now.

Lucy, I'm so glad it isn't just me that finds that scene erotic and my imagination always runs rampant when I see it. I also enjoyed Nightbreed and had nocturnal 'moments' after watching it. But then, I've always liked the weird and wonderful.
