Use bodywash instead of shaving cream.  It works well for me.

The sharper and newer the razor, the better.  I prefer the quatro.  I also use a shaving cream that is supposed to inhibit regrowth.  Seems to me that it works.

But I don't know about finding an easier, faster way to do it-- I take alot of time to make sure I do it as good as I can and since I think about why I shave, I'm not sure that making it as routine as shaving my legs is something I want.

always use a new razor, blade not electric--use a gel versus a cream- get in the habit of doing it every few days so its not allot of work and DONT use depilatories!

Get yourself waxed! Or, maybe if you are lucky your owner will wax you for a bit of sadistic fun.
I find waxing means shaving less often, though the process itself is a bit more time consuming than shaving, so it probably pans out in the end.

I've been considering getting some electrolysis done for the bikini line. My electrolysis technician says she does others in that region, and it's done wonders for unsightly hair elsewhere, so it's tempting, but, it's permanent so it'll take more thought. Electrolysis isn't a one-shot episode either you need multiple treatments which can be painful if the hair in the region being worked on is tough and deep rooted.

If you want to stick with just shaving, the above info is helpful, I use body wash not shaving cream as well, lotion after shaving helps for any irritation the razor might leave. (For sensitive skin use something with no perfumes; some lotions will only compound irritation instead of soothing it.)
Practice makes for a cleaner shave when manuvering around the wobbly bits, but otherwise, you'll always have the same hassels of stubble and re-shaving.

You've already got lots of good advice on here. I'm just going to add that it tends to get easier with time. Eventually it just becomes part of your shower routine. I also suggest doing it every time you shower, whether someone will see or not...it's just easier that way.

I use baby lotion every day on the area to keep the skin healthy and the hair smooth. I shave with the grain (the way the hair grows) every time I shower and then against the grain on the days Its needed that I be fully smooth. Also I found allot of the hydrating conditioners for hair (like suave and such) work just as well as shave gels and creams. Also I found leaving your razor in the shower tends to make the blades go dull/rust faster so keep it on the sinktop or in a different room as to not be exposed to some place always full of moisture.

I think shaving is one of the most annoying things to have to do.  Not a perfectionist so i can admit that i skip a week here and a week there...sometimes shorter sometimes longer.  My life is just too busy to really be able to add that into my daily routine list of priorities.  But when it needs to be done; it is.
I use a cream of sorts (cant remember the name and dont feel like getting up either) that you apply ...leave for a min or two...get in shower with a wash cloth and warm water and rinse it off.  It works great for me and doesnt give me those unfriendly razor bumps (ugh)...I'm sure if you visit a pharmacy store close by there is a wide variety to choose from.

It comes in cream or powder and is called Magic.  You can usually find it in stores in African-American neighborhoods

tweezers.

I actually got kind of mentally ill about this. I was waxing...but that just wasn't good enough so I started with tweezers. That was inexact as the tweezers did not close precisely. So after trying different implements I finally  spent ~ $30 on some nice needle-nose pliers. This worked very well. Until one Saturday morning I discovered that it had become Saturday afternoon and I had been working on my "landscaping project" for at least 5 hours...

So I searched the medical board here on CM where I found a great thread on hair removal including a discussion on hair removing cream. After some experimentation I found some "razor free shaving cream" designed for men of African heritage. This is working pretty well and only takes ~ 15 minutes.

Do research. Read the instructions. Take a photo of your equipment to aid reconstrucive surgery; maybe number the parts to make them easier to re-assemble? :-)

Okay...though i am sure the thought of a submissive male being waxed or using tweezers might sound appealing to some...
for the sub it's pain ontop of pain..
Shaving is the best course for men (ladies, ya'll don't have swinging parts that need to be strestched for hair removal..lol..)
ANY HAIR REMOVING CREAM is not good for mens genitals

Others gave some good advice
Take a hot/warm bath first (this cleans and opens the pores which helps to preven bumps or ingrownhairs)
Buy a pack of razors, and use a new one after six stroke (if your are hairy, if it is just a few stubles, then you can go longer before you need to replace
Gel or lotion (make sure the lotion has aloe)
It helps, if you grab the base of your sack, in essence stretching the skin.

once done, rinse the area throuroughly in clean warm water
PAT dry with a towel (don't rub or scrub)
use talc or lotion afterwards
Keep up this ritual of every other day
Hope this helps...

Hey, I think waxing is very relaxing and rather painless.

I am going to be very, very dissapointed if I can find information to support this statement. Nowhere on the contatiner does it say "Do not apply to tiny-white boy penis parts." I checked. Twice.

I'm not calling BS, I'm just going to be back doing yardwork all day Saturday...

laser hair removal is a beautiful thing, really, if you can save up for it...not sure if they do it on men, if it will nuke the little spermies or something.

Right. I beleive in "Goldfinger" there's a scene of James Bound undergoing laser hair removal:
