what is the thing that you most fear? something that you would not like to happen to you.

personally i would not like to become a vegetable. if i were to get in, say, an auto accident, i wont like to become a vegetable. If I had a choice i would rather die instead of becoming someone who would be dependent on other people.

I do not want to grow up and turn into my mother. It might sound silly, but that has been my greatest fewr. I have enough physical issues now that I pretty much know I will be dependant on smeone was I get older. BUt If I were ever to become what she is... Id hate myself.

I believe the future is never how how we have planned nor anticipated it.  What happens will happen regardless of our personal will.

A quote from my favorite book "Illusions" by Richard Bach goes something like this:
"Imagine the world as just and perfect..then know the IS has thought of it a bit better than you have".

DV- I understand your fear, I watched my mother waste away with Parkinson's for 25 years, then her brother..then her sister to Lupus.  All you can do is look objectively at the situation and ask yourself..what can you do to prepare for the worst case scenario

I would never want to become a vegetable...And yet when I was younger I would have a recurring dream that I was a fruit. Very odd. Not just any fruit, but I continually dreamt myself as a butternut squash. I, like many of you would have thought that Gourds and squasheees would be catagorized as a vegetable but alas they be fruits.

Anywhooo...I found the dream to be rather relaxing...My time spent as a butternut squash was fleeting, for you see I was always immedately cleansed covered in cinnamon or some brown sugar and then placed for an hour in a 350 degree oven...I think at that time I was just happy to be liked by so many people.

I was young and it was before I learned how much you all really suck....

Now I dream that I am the last manitee in the world. It's comforting.

for me it would be being stuck on a Greyhound bus again with the granny bomber, yeah you heard me granny bomber.was on a Greyhound last fall. a little old lady walked up to the front of the bus ranting and raving at the bus driver about technology, she asked the lady to go back to her seat, she adimately refused and openly stated and I quote" at midnight things will blow up around here" well needless to say the busdriver slammed the breaks on that one. called it in to local poilce.before we knew it 16 police units surrounded our bus, pulled the lady off and threw handcuffs on her and searched her bags.we all know a comment like that is usually bad news.about 2hours later we were allowed to finally leave the scene.obviously giving us more delays then we already had but it was for our safety so understandable.come to find out a short bit later that where ther passenger decided to do this was exactly 2 miles from where old timothy mcveigh had his weapons storage just before oklahoma city.

so needlesss to say my fear is being on another bus with someone like her.don't want to go through that again anytime soon.

I dont want an axe muderer to break in - beat the heck out of me, take my diamonds, furs, and valuables; violently rape me; tracking mud on my just washed floor- and tossing a match on  the gasoline doused grand piano.

I also hope the butler doesnt find that the upstairs maid is dreadfully dreadful; and a well staffed home contains 12 servants.

There are alot of things I don't particularly want to happen to me. Some already have and I am not really in the mood for a repeat performance.

As for fear......that's alot harder to answer. I would have to say anything that involved not being able to breathe and/or really tight spaces. Total panicsville.

I have always been terrified of quicksand.

Rampaging elephants—empathy and terror in that situation.

Meetings lasting more than 1 hour…2 tops. I’ll put my finger down my throat to get out of it.

Getting abandoned in outer space… Here am I floating round my tin can, far above the moon/Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing I can do

Varicose veins. What causes them? When do they show up? ~Shudder~

Pitbulls. I saw one on TV rip the boob off a female police officer, while the news station’s camera crew just watched and filmed.

Public speaking. Just kill me.

Veddy interesting Tee.

I never thought of quicksand or outerspace. I've had 3 day long meetings that have put me into a coma. Elephants......cannot say I've ever given that much thought either. Though my little sister and I are going to do a "swim with the great white sharks" trip together.

Varicose veins......I think thats pretty much genetic with the complication of lifestyle choices.

The pitbull thing, I can totally cure you of that by introducing you to Bailey.

And yes, public speaking SUCKS. I once pretended to be sick to get out of it.

I agree, a friend of mine had to do that last week.

I'm confused...Why would a friend of yours go around burying Katy's kids? Although I'm not really comfortable being around a corpse and of course I have much love for Katy....The reality is that my life would probably go along fairly smoothly after I buried Katy's kids...Anywhooo, there is always the post funeral "comforting sex" that would inevitably come into play.

Domiguy: "Katy, I am so sorry for your loss....I can't be positive but if you were to blow me I'm fairly confident that at least one of us would have something positive to say in the future about the events of today."

Come to Domiguy.
