I ran across this article ten minutes ago, while perusing through the annals of Wikipedia.

Some deeply-buried, anti-social portion of my being is actually in a state of rapture over discovering that there are still "uncontacted" peoples......primitive tribes who refuse to abandon the old-school "hunter-gatherer" ethos.

Better yet, the womenfolk of "said" tribes ain't horrible-lookin' either, as witnessed here.

She is kind of cute....I prefer my women not to be quite so clean.

I wish there was a way to go live with the "uncontacted peoples"...Unfortunately, I have not seen many of their profiles listed on CM. If you do, it sucks because they are always asking for tributes...Some sort of a beetle or root....However, upon my arrival I would be a God. They would erect statues of my likeness out of bamboo and huge effigies of the Domidong would rival any known pyramids....I would have my choice of which "women of the dirt" to plunder.

Once they all succumbed to small pox or some other domiguy illness I would be forced to move on...How many "uncontacted" tribes are there? It's time to get busy.

I agree.  She's WAY too cosmopolitan for my tastes.

I can just see this swarthy-skinned beauty now, sipping fancy "exotic" coffees and complaining about the plight of Siamese-Twin Peruvian Llama herders to some asshole, sycophant barista in Greenwich Village.

I've seen trailer park girls with more "gritty authenticity."

I love that there still are uncontacted people. (That woman in the link is very beautiful.) It is so boring and mean what white folks did to the uncontacted people when they contacted them.

Hiawatha had a vision before his uncontacted peeps became contacted.

There is a Story Belt, (made out of wampum, which is quahog shell made into beads and woven in distinct geometric patterns of white and purple shell) called the "Everlasting Tree Belt. This belt confirmed all the laws adopted by the Great Council made at Onandaga at the ceremonies of the founding of the Peace League. At that time Hiawatha made a prophecy that there would come a day when a monster would come out the sea and force the United People; the Iroquois to adopt a New Law, that there would come a time of great trouble to the Iroquois, that they would be bewildered and divided not knowing which way to turn for relief, and when that time came they, the Iroquois would seek again their ancient law. Hiawatha said he would return at that time and aid them, that when they grasped the Everlasting Tree the second time the ancient Law would be stronger than the it was at first. State Museum of Albany".

I found this information in the Smithsonian Institute downtown Manhattan, the Native American Indian Museum where I searched in the libraries on 'wampum' because I have an Indian friend who makes it and I wanted to understand what it was all about.

What is the source of your giddiness? Exotic hootiecoochers? A chance to proselytize? To break through the "hymen" of their isolation? Do you imagine they will find you exotic but superior and worthy of adoration?

A "state of rapture?" Interesting word choice. Would you like to be able to communicate that to them? [both meanings]

Curious...
