pro mistress cannot really choose their clients?

Recently I read some things on internet about and some arguments of non pro mistress to reject slaves. Some of them where saying "since im not a pro mistress and dont get pay for it i can choose whom do i play with".

Regardless the fact(s) that make womans reject cadidates to slavery or why they use this phrase instead of another one, i was thinking.. is this really true that as a pro mistress you cannot say to any a client-sub? or also have some code to accept clients?

Im not talking about people you know before (as the same as pro mistress play with people we meet before or that we know they are serious people cause they have play with people we know) but brand new people that you dont know from before.

This is a respectfull question to pro mistress :)

as with any business, I would think, a pro-domme would have the right of refusal.
Any number of reasons: clients health issues, safety issues (i.e. the potential client sets off red flags for whatever reason), hygiene...

I'm not a pro, but I'm speculating here.

If I'm mistaken, I'm sure there's a pro that will correct me :)

I am not a pro-Domme, however, several of my good friends are professionals.

Yes, freelance professional Dommes *can* and *do* turn away clients for whatever reasons they feel like. They are not obligated in any way to do business with anybody. They generally have specific criteria that they use when choosing clients, based a lot on their personal experiences and preferences (ex: compatible fetishes, experience in certain kink skills, hygiene, other "red flags"). There is also a certain level of judgement in terms of the "feel" of the prospective client.

Things may be different if they are working as part of a "house of domination"; which may have it's own rules for selecting and accepting clients. In those cases, the pro-Domme may not have as much latitude when it comes to rejecting clients.

Also not a Pro. However, I DO run a small retail business. I have been known to throw people out of my store. (Even called the Cops to remove one jackass... but that's a long story.) In this day and age where people think they can go into any store and act like it's their own personal playground, they are so SHOCKED to be told "I do not need or want your business. This is private property. Get out!" If I can toss a retail client out on their butts, I can't imagine why a Pro Domme would tolerate a client she doesn't enjoy.

I would HOPE that all Pro Mistresses can choose their clients.
In fact, MANY Pro's are very particular, especially the ones that tend to post here!
The reason I have that statement on my profile, is that I am not a Professional Dominant,
I am not seeking casual encounters or sessions, so I can afford to reject 99.8% of the men
that approach me.
I have a very busy life, a career and family I enjoy, and my life is wonderful, with or without a submissive.

NOW, I could be wrong on this.
But how long can a Professional Mistress be a professional with NO clients?
I do not have a submissive/slave, and I don't see or need one to live my life.
I would think with my attitude I would not be a Professional Domina very long with no clients.
If most Professional Dominants turn down 99.5% of the men that approach them, than they can also
put a similar statement on their profiles!

Can you be a successful Professional Dominant with NO submissives or slaves?
Cause I am successful without any, that might be my point.

I was extremely selective about my customers. If I didn't like the way someone sounded on the phone, they never made it to the vanilla screening. If I didn't like them at the Starbuck's, we never made it to the studio.

Why on earth would I just accept anyone?

I'm extraordinarily picky about clients... you have to be in order to stay safe. hygiene, fetishes I'm not into, and general creepiness are all things I'll turn someone down for... haha.

I'm a Pro-Sub but.... for every 10 emails I get...

4 are usually silly wankers who aren't serious about it in the first place- or think it's expensive (You are paying to hit someone, when it comes down to it... wtf offering me 20 bucks?)
2 get screened out because they are into watersports, fisting, or just need to go find a hooker.
1 is demanding "MOAR PICTURES!!!" ...which he doesn't get- this isn't a porn site, kthx.
3 of them I'll have a session with.

On the pro-side of life, I turn down way more clients than I accept.

As to the percentage question asked: Thinking on it, well over 90%.

I think turning down clients, is no more than a much needed safety device, with instinct leading the way. Do any of you Ladies offer feedback as to why you have turned someone down, or is that just too big a can of worms.

I would say that the 90% number is about right, if you include ALL the categories of "no, thank you."

Feedback, Politesub? I don't really think I get asked for any, and other than, "I don't feel that we are a match, perhaps you can try Ms X who likes that sort of thing..." I have never offered any kind of explanation.

Where did you come up with that?
I rejected new clients all the time....I had an endless supply of them...Some even waited 2 years to have a strapon session with me...
