Do most doms/domes have time frames for their consideration periods?

In my case it all depends on where the sub lives and how compatible the both are.  I have one sub in consideration that lives 2000 miles away from me.  I'm a patient man and like to take things slow when considering a sub/slave.  It could take a month or 6 months it all depends on how we get along, trusting one another, which is a big requirement, a willingness to relocate to many other aspects.

Whoah slow down man. You already have two subs and you have a COUPLE MORE under consideration? You need time to get to know these chicks one on one.. How are you doing that when you take them by the fishnet and reel them in?? If I could give you any advice, it would be to cut SOME of them lose and focus on one at a time.

My consideration period is 3 months. Then I have a 1 year training period where they live with me before I take them completely. My training period is actually just a guide line since I have a boy right now who is training and it will take about another year till I get him where I want him to be at.

Hope this helps. You just need to start respecting these girls more.

Usually about 2 years before I would consider collaring.

I am poly and the first two I was already in relationships with.  They actually asked me to collar them.  I had one under consideration and released her after 2 months.  I just collared the 3rd after 2 months.  She will be in training for a year or so before I will consider giving her a permanant collar.

I consider them for as long as it takes..... some take 30 seconds.... some take slightly longer to decide

Yeah, I took about 7 years considering my slave. Ha. Long story. Just thought it was a nice touch.

Unfortuately for some Dominants, waiting for along period of time can be quite scary for the prospective sub/slave. Especially when there patience isn't one of their better attributes "MINE"  in aprevious post i did mention if he was to wait a year or so it would be alright, well i would like to recant that statement please. So here's the thing I have moved 4 hours closer to be near Him now were only 10 minutes from each other. OK here's a question,... the longer He takes to take it to a different level does it means that perhaps i am being strung along. Or that he has a fear of commitment. Feedback would be very helpful here ???

We use a Probationary Collar which is a minimum of 30 days (for those who we know well) and as long as it takes untill all parties are up to speed and everyone understands what is offered, expected and acceptable. Onve an accord is reached we are ready to take the next step of a formal collaring into the home (House Collar). Collars are such a personal thing and important that to rush it is to invite disaster and failure.

don't have one. as long as the person and I have a clear understanding of each other and there is no uncertainty or doubts then I go for it.
