To me, involving money makes it a business, client / provider relationship.  I group Pro-Dommes with Masseuses, Golf-Trainers, Prostitutes, and Escorts:  they provide a desired service for a clientele.  If you're looking for relationships or lifestyle connections, then that is a different department from the Pro scene.  Sure, golf trainers sometimes marry their clients, but they don't specifically look at clients as a dating pool.  What's the difference?

BoiJen -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 1:54:20 PM)

I'm gonna say I understand.

You get ditched 8 out of 10 times. Yeah go ahead and ask them to do the calculations on where they want to meet. (IE how much the gas costs for you to get there and how much the coffee or meal will cost)

It's not anything more than what any potential s-type to a FemDomme should expect to pay anyways. So as a security measure and when asking for it to simply explain to them...

"Hey, I like you a lot and I want to meet you. The dish is that I get stood up a lot and it's costing me time and money. So do me a favor, check out where you want meet and do some math and send me a paypal transfere. Here's my number call and confirm and it's all good. From that cash transfere I'll pay for my own when we get there."

That's all it takes. And for the people who don't get it: When an s-type meets a FemDomme as friends or potential otherwise, they pay for the occassion. Period. So why not "make the reservation." It's not prostitution. It's not escort. It's standard...yer just pre-paying.

I really like your logic BoiJen. ^5

Evility -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 2:13:32 PM)

As long as you are giving them what they have paid for I don't see a problem.

It's a simple business transaction.

impossiblesub -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 2:22:25 PM)

They just want you to show up with something useful instead of flowers that are going to rot in a vase. ;) You could spend $200 on a date real easily anyway. You can think of it as just giving them the money instead of flowers, dinner, and dancing or whatever.

for every ten people i would go to meet about eight of them would never show up. nervous, fakes, or for whatever reason. there was no money involved at all. it was after that kept happening for a good amount of time that i started asking for a small tribute as a bit of insurance i guess you could say.

What I find works well is meeting new people only at public events that I'd go to anyway, or at a nearby coffee shop that I hang out at anyway because the baristas there pull the best shots in town.  If they don't show up, it's their problem, not mine.  I'll still have a pleasant Munch event socializing with other people, or a nice double-shot Americano while I relax and surf the web.   I basically won't go out of my way to meet new folks from online, but they're welcome to find me where I already plan to be, if they actually want to say hi.

that works if its local but my problem is i have agreed after talking for a couple weeks to travel to meet someone. i have paid my own way and gone to other states to meet people and then they just dont show up. no call nothing, never hear from them again. if it was just a matter of ten bucks gas or something like that then i wouldnt really care. i know i am a good person and domme and its their problem for at least loosing me as a friend however when i travel a day or days then there comes a need for some sort of security.

SimplyMichael -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 2:41:23 PM)

If I believed for a second you paid to fly to meet people I might have some sympathy but all I hear is another prodomme making justifications for why she isn't a prostitute.

lol i can say confidently that i am neither a prodomme nor a prostitute. tribute doesnt have to be money and i never have sex with the subs. wow i started this thread in a honest question about whether you could call the cops to try to get rid of the money hungry fakes on here. i mean a guy could paint a protrait of me and i would be satisfied. tribute is not always soemthing financial but should just be something that is sincere, thoughtful, and shows your eagerness to please the person. could be a poem even.

ToysAndTies -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:21:27 PM)

Haha, there seems to be a lot of those threads..

just so you all know I am one of those dommes that asks for a tribute to weed out the wankers on here however if things didnt work out with the guy i give it back. i have proof lol!!!

call me a cynic but i want proof that you give back the gifts/money/etc to your "clients"

indigo302 -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:30:32 PM)

As a submissive, I've also been stood up  many times.

I wonder if I should be asking the Dominants for tribute?  It would only be to weed out the wankers of course!

Or maybe, I should learn from my mistakes and choose more wisely in the future......

hardbodysub -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:31:38 PM)

I don't think asking for money before meeting is the best way to weed out phonies. You'll be throwing out the baby with the bathwater, as a lot of sincere subs won't bother with you because what you're doing is a common scam to fleece guys out of their money.

If you've actually been stood up so many times, maybe you need a different approach to setting up a meeting. First, don't put yourself at risk of spending a lot of money for a meeting. Arrange a meeting place and time where, if the other person is a no show, you have other options available. Some place you'd like to go anyway, even if you weren't planning on meeting them. But be fair about it; the other person shouldn't have to bear a large financial risk either.

email me privately hun i can give you the collarme name of someone that can talk to you about this.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:38:05 PM)

um no - i don't want to email privately the third person and ask them what i'm asking you.

you clearly state you will offer proof - right here is a good place to do it.

RumpusParable -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:40:09 PM)

She just offered to privately, you've refused it.

lol how am i supposed to prove this unless you talk to the person? he was someone that i had talked to and received a tribute but then when things didnt work out i gave it back to him. i honestly dont see how you could verify this other than talking to him personally.

No one forces anyone to pay a pro domme.  If a male sub chooses to pay for sessions then that's his decision.  If he chooses to search for a non-pro domme then thats his choice too.  Supply and demand.

<nods head>

I concur...notice there are ALOT of whatdyacallem...ah yes..."money slaves" where they, the subs, pay just for the pleasure of speaking with the Domme online...
edit...
my grammar stinks lately...don't mind me

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: fraud and tributes (4/27/2008 3:43:14 PM)

she offered the name of the person that i should contact to ask if she gave it back.  why do i need to go the party in question when she can tell me herself here.
