I suppose you could fine someone to train her/him..but really, do you mean you want someone to handle you pet befor you do???  And unless this trainer knows exactly what your wanting, sounds more like a crap shoot as to what quality you end up with.

I am just wondering how someone trains a sub to do anything other than serve the one training her?

I'm not sure if you were using fast reply to answer the OP or replying to me in particular. If you were replying to me, my statement was indicative of all relationships - in each relationship (D/s, M/s, vanilla, whatever) we learn things that we carry with us.

If you weren't replying directly to me ... never mind then.

There are certainly going to be training items that can transfer easily and things that will not trasfer very well at all.
If you recieve training in gracefull movements likely as not this will transfer well. If on the other hand you take training in specific possitional protocols then this is less likely to transfer (unless you are going between Gorean Households and then the adjustments will likely be small.

Training in how to cook some things will transfer well while others will need real adjustment.
Measuring, cooking times and cooking techniques are not going to change based on someone's whim what seasonings to use and how much red constitutes Medium in a steak will likely need to be adjusted. But even changing between 3778379475 Dominants. Hot pan, cold oil, food no stick. will continue to work the same.

However back to the OP please clarify are you asking if two Dominants can train a submissive at the same time, or if a slave once trained by Dominant A can be successfully retrained by Dominant B at a later date, or are you asking if one can have their submissive trained by someone else and then returned to them? Three very different questions.

Training... I have for a long time avoided this topic. Not just this thread but the topic in general.

I sorta have to go with Archer on this one. There are some things that "training" can do.

I sorta have to go with Steel on this one. Only I can train my s type to please me.

So somewhere in the middle is where everyone else falls. Either to the left or to the right. Me, I figure that whatever one knows coming in to a relationship, is either gonna help or fuck things up. It is MY job, to explain to My Love what I want, and how to do it, if I am so particular in the methods used. Does this make me a trainer... probly not... but, it does train her to make me smile.

i think I'll get some chocolate

You know, now that I've reread this post a couple of times I think he's asking if you can train a sub who isn't a newbie to be your sub instead of always saying "That isn't how my previous Master did it".

And the answer is of course you can. Have you ever known of someone to transfer schools and succeed in the new school? To change jobs and successfully adapt to the new workplace culture? To remarry and have a successful and happy second marriage?

People are adaptable. It may be one of the things that defines us as a species. We can adapt to surrounding conditions. In a savannah we build grass huts. In a woodland we build timber homes. In an ice covered land we build temporary houses made of snow. We adapt. So of course this interesting sub can learn to remember that you like your coffee with cream instead of black with two sugars like her ex.
