Sinatra's My Way covered by The Sex Pistols

Bruce Hornsby's The Way It Is covered by Tupac Shakur (rat a tat tat)

Talking Heads' Psycho Killer covered by some bluegrass band (I heard it on the radio once)

The Grateful Dead's Uncle John's Band  covered by The Stanford Marching Band  (that should liven up a football game)

Damn, how did I forget that one. Great cover.

Also add "Ain't that a Shame." Cheap Trick.

FR:  Oh I remember one.    Ever hear of  the band "Steeleye Span"?  Sure some of you did.  They did an incredible cover of Brecht's "The Black Freighter".

"It's the same thing," he said.

That whole cover album by Annie Lennox is great.

Joss Stone rocks all her covers too.

kd lang TORE up that fab song, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Jeff Buckley's version is great too.

Aaron Neville did the same with Bird On a Wire by Leonard.

Run DMC doing Walk This way is freakin brilliant.

Pigeonhed did a great version of Amazing Grace.

Neil Young did the best version of , Oh Lonesome Me if you ask me.

Bob Marley doing I Shot the Sheriff is very excellent.

I totally agree about Nothing Compares to You done by Sinead. I forget the name of the group Prince was helping out way back in the day who he let do that song originally. Prince and Rosie Gains do a great version themselves, I'd say.

Who is that guy who Bruce Springsteen wrote Fire for? It is close to the name Robert Johnson, but that obviously is not it.

I thought Gwyneth Paltrow and Hughie Louis did a good job on Cruising in that karioke movie.

Ben Harper did a great version of Sexual Healing.

I adore cover tunes, just love em to bits. I love the way someone can almost bend it without snapping it to make it their own.

The Monkee's doing I'm a Believer is cool. Someone did a rendition recently of that song that was pretty good too.

Oh and Bootsy Collins doing If 6 was 9 is perfect.

Kip Winger's new albums have been excellent, he is very talented.

Oh yeah, Robert Gordon, that is is who Springsteen wrote Fire for.

Agree on the Black Betty, (bam ba lam) cover, written by Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter.

Mick and Bowie doing Dancing in the Street was great too.

Ramone's doing Ringo Star's Needles and Pins is a classic.

Linda Ronstadt doing Tumbling Dice by the Stones is noteworthy.

Keith Richards did a smokin rendition of Love Me Tender by Elvis

Righteous Brothers doing Unchained Melody written by Alex North and Hy Zaret for a 1955 movie called, Unchained is awwwwesommmme.
