Thats exactly why I have to wait on a tutor beore I even consider it. Its one thing if I risk hurting myself doing something stupid. Ive been there done that a hundred times. But being responsible for the boys, I could never get enough info online to make sure they would be safe.

Some of the technique I've already learned in person. I can safetly use torches as well as fire cups. I learned from a very old, very wiley Domme I know. She deemed me competent enough to "not set her house on fire", which means it's time to start practiceing. I'd like to read up a bit on it for now. Then look into a willing play partner, find demo's and classes, etc..... Who knows how things will really go , but atleast I'm safe, and I always try to prob anyone I meet who might know a thing or two.

Grr.... I ended up having to miss Archers fireplay demo tonight... I was so looking forward to it too! >.< I'm annoyed now...

My Ultimate Fire Play, and one I intend to repeate with improvements this year a couple of times as soon as I can snaffle a victim or two was: Quite a number of years ago when I was still married to my second wife who was a stripper and fire-eater, we attended a private dungeon party as entertainment. In a corner, which I had draped fireproof blankets to form an alcove we secured, a naked lass (Pubes clipped) with chains to two high points and two low points so she was suitably displayed front on spread-eagled. A tight leather cap covered her hair and her eyes covered by a leather blindfold. The head was then covered with fire retardant gel used by stunt men. Marie and I took our places as the lights were lowered about 30 feet from the lass and at 45 degrees from her. We each lit a torch and took a mouth full of Dr IB’s Snake Oil©TM and simultaneously blew a holocaust at her. The flames combined to wrap her in fire. This was repeated thrice in all supervised by an experienced friend to ensure her safety. As soon as the third holocaust was blown he wrapped her in a cold wet sheet in case of any burns… Happily all she suffered were severely singed pubs, which I shaved off later than night at our home. The effect was dramatic and I’d still love to get my hands on the prick that swiped my colour 8x10 photos of the act. [image]http://s3.images.proboards.com/angry.gif[/image] We did this act several times with no ill effect to the “target”… This when I can locate a girl who is willing to be taught, will be done here in Queensland. To me it is the ultimate Fire Play. I can personally promise that it was very good. I even got a shot at participating, thanks to Archer and his lovely demo assistant. I was fortunate enough to do some later chatting/good conversation with Archer on the patio later in the evening. There were some very interesting stories told and some laughs shared. I was disappointed not to see his Elegant, but I will be having that pleasure at SELF.

It went well overall. However as is my habit I'm going to tell a story on myself here. I ended the class with a showy technique and ended up blistering Myself, LOL Accidents happen to even the experienced, so remember we take all the precautions for a reason, cause many times we've discovere that the initial level of safety was not sufficient. Thankfully it was me that was hurt, not my stunt bottom. A little more humility never hurt anyone, except when it hurts this way, LOL. Minor burn only on my pinky. The class was well recieved and as always I enjoyed giving it.

Did I hear someone say fire. :) :) :) We have been playing with fire for over 5 years and do demos, classes etc. It is one of the hotest (pun intended) scenes I can think of. Respectfully, Lady V

A demo at the Mark? I may have to make sure I am off that night. Problem is, getting sponsored in there, I dont know anyone in the local community and if I remember correctly, you need someone to vouch for you if you are going to attend.

I'm bumping this thread because I just ran across a book that I think is really good for fire play. Even though I think it's MUCH better to learn in person, this book gives enough info on how to and safety that I recommend it. Flames of Passion Master Fire

Thank you for the book selection. Big surprise, I started testing the waters (or would that be the fires) after these posts were made. I love it.
