I've been inducted into the Hall of Shame this week by being stood up by no....not 1 (one) but, in fact, 2 (TWO)...yes, count them....2 alledgedly dominant males from this site. We went from c-mail to phone to settling on a day to meet to.....nothing. I was just wondering how many others have ever been stood up. Plus, Level got this whole poll thingy started, so we're all addicted!

Yep.
Its amazing how many people have heart attacks, or disasters or sick parents or what have you just when they are supposed to actually meet.
I think they are just fakes and frauds.
But who knows, maybe there are all sorts of such mayhem that truly occur.
Its like the unnaturally high rate of dominants who die young, leaving lonely unattached submissives, pining for another dom.
I tell ya, its amazing a BDSM'er can get health insurance the way this trend is running

I've been stood up by more than 1 on the list so I will just click the most common one. -.-; No love for me.

Yep, I've been stood up a number of times. When it happens locally, it's not too big a deal with me but when it happens after driving a couple of hundred miles for a meet, it gets a bit irritating. Luckily, that's only happened once and hopefully will stay at that count.

Which is why I look for "locals" only. It's disappointing enough when they're local. If I were to drive a couple hundred miles, I'd probably be pissed enough to hunt 'em down and give them a beating more than they deserve.

chicken/sub, decided to not show rather than call to cancel and admit to being afraid to show up. i wasn't going to bite, not then anyway. wonder whatever happened to him. nothing good, hopefully.

i've never set a date to meet and had them not show up on that day, but i've had a couple go "poofy" on me at the talk of setting up a date.

I've been stood up the once, so count myself fortunate in that respect. My time, however, wasn't wasted, I had arranged to meet the sub in a well-known pub and a quick call to some friends saw us all enjoying a nice lunch - without him. His excuse for failing to turn up... He went temporarily blind lol

Was I disappointed he failed to turn up? Not at all. Relieved!

Been stood up three times by subs. However, each time I invited them to a public place where a party was going on. That way, when I got there and they didn't show, I didn't care because I was there with my friends and enjoyed the evening anyway. I don't really blame the guys for not showing. It's scary enough to get up the nerve to go meet a Domme... especially one who is into humiliation... EXTRA bad when they know I'm going to be surrounded by my 'peeps' and they will be alone. Like walking into the lions den. I don't really blame them for getting scared.

I've not been stood up, but did have the one last minute cancellation due to an immediate onset health problem, like others have mentioned here.
