Is there a highest form of love?
The love of Self. Note: this is different than the love of yourself; one is a spiritual awareness, the other is conceit.

Yes, but it isn't anything like what we're taught "love" is in this society.

What love do you feel for your partner?
My girl "shines" for me. her spiritual presence is like a bright stone. Of the loves on your list, I would define ours as agape and storge.

Lee put forward the theory that each of us have a default setting for the love we engage in with our partners .. do you agree? Or is it context/individual driven?
I'm betting that definitions assumed a particular KIND of partner. I'd say it's individual driven.

Which form(s) of love fit best with your dynamic? ..
It depends on the person.

Do you think there is a colour of love which fits best with your role?
I have all separate colors of love (ROYGBIV) as well as white (all colors) and black (no colors) in my life. This is something I "feel" and sometimes "see" but can't explain. It's related to the chakras

I can't really address the issue of love with regard to others... I only know how it relates to me. Of the forms given, both the classic Greek and Lee's "colours of love", none really capture the depth or breadth of what I feel towards Firm... so I decided to create my own.

Using the Greek language, I've chosen a word that begins to describe the core of my feelings...

Sebas - that for which awe is felt, an object of awe or worship.

By itself, this word does not cover the scope of my emotions, but it does give a sense. If there were a single word that encompassed all that I feel, it would need to bring to mind adoration, attraction, purpose, attachment, devotion, fidelity, submission, allegiance, and contentment. The nearest English word that might begin to do that is fealty... but even so, it only scratches the surface.

Excellent topic. I wanted to thank you for sharing the colors of love they way you did.

Though I wouldn't say it was the only one, but if making a singular selection, I think agape would be the best description with My primary partner. We have an odd saying between the two of us. That being, "it just is". Sitting here thinking about it, I couldn't exactly tell you when that came to be. It just is.

Don't get Me wrong. I'm not saying by any means that we have the perfect relationship, or there are never any disagreements, or any other kind of fairy tale bs. We have good times and bad times. The good times we enjoy together. The bad times, we hold on to each other for support. Somewhere along the line, I just didn't have doubt anymore if he would be there at the end of the day.

I'm sure I'm rambling, so I'll stop now. Thank you again for the excellent thread.
