She learns not to be taller than me. Huh? If I'm standing, she stands unless told otherwise. But if I'm sitting, she sits or kneels - depending which I direct. IE, I'll either nod toward the seat next to me or the bare floor. She learns that seats are for sitting (lmao) but floors are for standing or kneeling - depending how tall I am at the time. And since I'm rather fond of stretching out on the carpet when watching TV, she learns that kneeling will suffice, thus an exception as she will still be taller than me in this instance..... I almost never post over in this forum because, well, its not my place, but when I read this (yeah, I peek) I was really pleased and felt totally validated (yeah, I need external validation) in some obscure way. I was like, cool deal! I tend to try to be shorter and gravitate towards the floor--that's what my ex-husband called it. It kind of frustrated him because we had a vanilla, equality based relationships so I did my best to stand tall. But, jeesh...the floor is so much more comfortable.
