Geez... it's so difficult to explain something on a spiritual level for people that cannot see beyond the material....

Like I said before, you AREN'T looking for something spiritual. You are looking for a cheap wank.

Your attitude in this thread has been obnoxious, self pitying, do-me-do-me-do-me-for-FREE type of thing. It's unattractive. No one wants to deal with a little drama-cupcake.

OH MY GOD!!!!! ROTFL..... you're just like a kid who doesn't have any argument and sticks to it just for being "right"

Of course I'm not looking, in that point your completely right... why should I be looking if I already found? LOL

Second... er... a cheap wank... I think it's quite difficult to give a wank when you are replying to post as I have been.

STILL, I'm curious, lets see your real power of argument. In what do you base yourself for saying that I looking for a cheap wank?

And sorry about my attitude... I'll really try to have a more attractive one next time I post. Off course, in my humble opinion it would help a lot if some people would be able to simply have an open conversation about a subject, in the case the one that I've proposed, instead of merely talking out of the ass....

Once again, for me that's a reduced life vision. I wonder how for example the aborigines or people that don't have contact with "modern civilization" live...

"The aborigines lived from a diet of plants, animals and fish. They were also traders who would exchange food for items, a favorite being small shells"

This is the same idea as money...just another form. It is exchanging one thing of value for a consideration of equal value.

Taken from: http://www.hyperhistory.net/apwh/essays/comp/cw03aborigines33011405.htm

My point exactly, they lived from... they did not need the trading to live... :)

This thread calls for this picture.

Be warned... cute overload...

?

Your pic Lynnxz (sure, cute as a really cute thing) or am I missing something? For me, the hyperlink doesn't link [sm=m23.gif]

Edited to say well done - it does now. And ROFL - love it!

Of course I'm not looking, in that point your completely right... why should I be looking if I already found? LOL  Well if you aren't looking... why are you so upset about something that doesn't even affect you?

Second... er... a cheap wank... I think it's quite difficult to give a wank when you are replying to post as I have been.

STILL, I'm curious, lets see your real power of argument. In what do you base yourself for saying that I looking for a cheap wank?  Normally, when men come to the forums complaining about money, it means they have had a run-in with a pro-domme.  They proceed to cry about it until their post is deleted. I'm still uncertain as to how you came to the conclusion that everyone is in it for the money.

And sorry about my attitude... I'll really try to have a more attractive one next time I post. In my humble opinion, you don't have a humble opinion. It's kind of self righteous and haughty.

tsatske -> RE: Money... (5/1/2008 12:44:43 PM)

Sundowner,
Why do you always go about asking if you are missing something? you are a sundowner, right? hence, you are clearly missing something....
The link did not work for me the first time. try a couple more times. it is too cute for words.
Makes me want to adopt it up. Yes, i know they are really, really viscious - but i'm a weal twue mouseochist, so it shouldn't be a problem for me. and probably they won't charge, for the pain they shall inflict, so therefore it will be real, true, spirtual BDSM.

And if you strongly believe that the world turns around money I really feel sorry for you. Maybe one day you can realize that the best things in live money can't buy.

HoneyMaster and I were having a conversation when we first got together.
He said "money is not important"
(he has a bit btw)
I countered with "money is not important, unless you don't have any. If you need to take your child to the doctor or put food on the table, it is very important."
As for if it belongs as part of a bdsm relationship, I guess that depends on the people involved, no?

Christina.. when people say to me "money cant buy happiness", I say to them "you've never sweated which bill to pay so that you have a home? utilities? food? what about transportation? Amazing how much happiness money can buy when those things are taken care of.,.."

It's your point of view. I believe that, not that long ago I've passed for something like that. And I'm one of those people... Money can't buy happiness, it can help but can never buy it.

(how in the heck you came up with that name...),

It is Yiddish for - you know, what i said up there. I kind of like being thought of as 'armcandy'. I had an exMaster who is Jewish, though, and he would not allow me to use the name, he found me calling myself 'brainless' offensive! imagine!
Blushes, I raised my children 6 blocks from the tracks. We had anual traditions for Derby weekend - when they got off the scholbus on thrusday, the car was packed. They never even went in the house - we headed strait to my grandparents farm on the other side of town! spent the big day at a nice, east end Derby party! people used to say, 'ooo, you are so close to the track, i bet you can make money parking cars in your lawn!' yea, uh - not enough money (see, this post is on topic!) to get me to stay in the south end! uh -UH!
(Any non-Louisvillains wondering why me and kids could get the hell out of Dodge on Thursday - it is such a mess there at this time of year that they can't even hold school on Derby Friday!)
And, azropedntied-
one, Two, THREE!! THREE!!!!!

Luckily, we're on the East End. Yeah, a few weeks ago we were talking to a salesman about putting vinyl in our kitchen, and I asked the guy how long after we give the go-ahead, it usually takes. His answer was well...usually about two weeks or so, but with the Derby coming up, probably more like two and a half or three. HoneyMaster (who has lived here for over a decade) just nodded His head. I'm looking at both of them going...is *everybody* crazy or is it just me?
Then last weekend I was going to the store to buy flowers for the front; HoneyMaster says "better hurry, everyone will be buying them for the Derby, and they'll be cleaned out"...another "huh?" moment for me...

Incredible the number of people that are after money instead of living truly the BDSM... Right, also can be considered a fetish and also others state that they do it just because of all fakes.

My vision... it's only an easy way for many to earn some money without making a big effort and truly makes no part of BDSM.

The post was made in the context of what many people are looking in Collarme.

Anyway, I'm no counselor, but there are a lot of ways of doing that... stealing, drugs, prostitution, scams... You name it, the choice is yours :P

CountrySong -> RE: Money... (5/1/2008 12:58:09 PM)

Actually money can buy happiness to a certain point. That is based on serveral very large studies. The problem is that most people think that more money = more happiness and it does not. Once you reach a certain income level ($50,000 to $100,000 for an American family depending on the study.) the effect money has on real happiness and precieved happiness radiply declines.

Basically people making less than $20,000 will usually rate themselves as less happy than people making $100,000. However people making $100,000 show almost no happiness rating difference when compared to people making $200,000. It has less to do with the money and more to do with the feeling of control over your life that that money gives you. Once you can afford a measure of controll over your life then more money has very little long term effect on happiness. Sadly people continue to chase more money even after it has stopped being a major factor in thier happiness.

From my experience, it's difficult to find a definition about BDSM that makes everybody happy. When I say trully I mean it simply to me. Others might agree or disagree and that's fine.

So, for me, if you really submit someone, you don't need even to mention money. When you really control someone if you needed/wanted you'll have it because the person that is with you will do everything to please you.

Most of the cases here look to me as simply greedy people that use BDSM to achive their goals... in most cases gaining money without doing a scratch.

The BDSM either you feel it or you don't, you don't use as an unveil excuse for your greed. And that's what a lot of people is in "here", simply greedy and sometimes with a small bdsm fetish.

Hope I've answered your question.

God, this makes me want to sleep all day. Please, just click and ignore those who are asking for money, it's not your thing. But don't come here and whine to us hard working people about what pisses you off about pro-doms. My God, can't we have a break from this shit? I looked at this thread because of the title, I should have known it would be about the same old shit, new day.

MoGa

Thank you for your valid input. The ignore button works two ways...

And me, in my ingenuity... in my rose colored world (LOL... I loved this one... :) ) thinking that discussion and sharing points of view about a subject that makes part of this community would be welcomed... How naive of me...

I have also to say that I loved the part of " whine to us hard working people " apart from the whine part (that's such a smashing classic) I really love the way that you on a personal post refer yourself as us instead of me :)

Sorry for the trouble that I gave you misleading with this topic. Honestly was not my intention. :)

Be well!

tsatske -> RE: Money... (5/1/2008 1:03:21 PM)

country song,
I know about those studies and quote them to people all the time, but i understood the results differently.
My understanding was, under a certain income level, there was a strong corelation to money to happiness - basicly the income level needed to stabelize - to meet basic needs. from that point to around 200,000, it was my understanding that at that point the bell curve flattened out, and showed no corelation of money = happiness. Then, above that, there was suddenly movement again, - an inverse relation. The more money people at the top of the economic scale have, the LESS happy they report being. Did i understand the study results wrong, or hear them wrong, ect?
