MissMorrigan -> Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 1:20:05 AM)

Has anyone else got this?

Reality and I purchased ours yesterday. He was the first to try it out and had a great deal of fun doing so, as did I watching him. I was a little scurred to step on that thing but my goodness, what a fun experience! I had no idea til now what great swivelling hips I have. I'm a hula queen [:D]

Seven minutes later, I'm knackered and having flashbacks of the gym nazi bitch that rode my back years ago... and turned me on in the process.

Exercising is so sexy!

Tomorrow I'm aiming for eight minutes lol

A neighbour bought one and was kind enough to let this girl have a go.

It was excellent!  Who knew exercise could be so much fun!

Will definately be getting one now.

Hello Alysia, thank you for replying. I can't stop exercising, the aerobic step exercise is a blast and we're having so much fun with it. We have other Wii games such as Mario Kart and Mario/Sonic at the Olympics, but none compare to the Fitness... it's the best £70 we've ever spent so far and it's good the way they incorporate a healthy weight loss target into the software.

I'm one of those persons that gets bored easily, stick me in a gym and I'm yawning within minutes, but with the Wii Fitness each task takes either a minute or just over, so it doesn't make a person feel as if they're overdoing it. Each minute adds up and it's enjoyable to see our individual weaknesses and strengths.

Hope you get one soon!

I like it because it tricks me into thinking I am playing a game.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:10:30 AM)

Exactly, Shahla and instead of simply sitting on a sofa vegging out, we can enjoy getting fit. For people who have criticised it and stated it is by no means a work out, I beg to differ, it has us both sweating... and he's a football player!

wow it sounds like fun.  Mind you I love going to the gym ...but that is possibly because I get to um...admire the scenery!  [;)]

BLKMADONA -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:28:12 AM)

Thanks for the comments on the Wii Fitness....Ive preordered one Myself and cant wait to use it!

Phin -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:34:39 AM)

I have not used fitness yet but the Wii in general is a blast...

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:37:02 AM)

There is also rumors that the Wii fitness board will be necessary for games in the future. I know Raving Rabbids 3 is supposedly going to need it (The boys and I are Rabbids addicts) and Fox is chomping at the bit to get one.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:39:57 AM)

Oh I wish! I used to go to the gym, however, mine was called Profiles and it's in a town called Putney... the gym is solely for women and the 'eye candy's' average age was approx. 75... the truly sad thing is that they were fitter than me by far! I never forget getting on the elliptical (sp) and could barely make three minutes while a geriatic gran was clocking up almost 40 minutes! Now that is SHAME lol

Have you tried playing online with it, Phin? We got our lead two days ago and it's great competing with people from around the world... the only downside is the randomness to course selection. I have to say that doing the Fitness is so much more fun... I'm beginning to sound as if I should b e on commission for Nintendo lol

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:45:35 AM)

DV, I can see that especially with snowboarding games where balance is an issue - Yesterday two new games were advertised and won't be out for purchase for some time. There's also a yoga selection on this Fitness but they're damn hard and the more you do the more selections are unlocked.

Phin -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:45:58 AM)

no... its too much fun having four people standing around in a living room knocking each other out playing tennis....

rubberpet -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:47:51 AM)

The only movement I like to do while playing video games is either going to the pantry for some snacks or putting body english on my golf shot while playing Tiger Woods golf.  I'd rather a PS3...it has better games, better graphics, and requires much less effort to play.  I'm all about my convenience here.  LOL

I can think of better ways to get the heart pumping and getting sweaty...just add a lust-crazed, rubber loving, gothic goddess and VOILA!!!!! [:D]

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:51:17 AM)

Oh man, that reminds me of a video I took of my boy boxing against his mate in our lounge one night. It started off as gentle competition, their expressions quickly changing to sheer determination and by the end of it they were no longer capable of punching anything due to hysterics especially when they realised I was filming them.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:57:23 AM)

I hear you on that, Rubberpet! I used to be superfit until approx. ten years ago and I just don't have the time to go to a gym these days, so this is the next best thing... and once I've upped my level of fitness I'll have more stamina for those extra curricular activities that will give me added cardio workouts [;)]

camille65 -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 5:59:39 AM)

So all you Wii-y folks, is there a place that rents them out? I'd like to try but not buy because I'm shy and may cry![:D](actually its cuz I'm not sure I could physically manage it and would hate to have handed over that sort of money and not be able to use it)

rubberpet -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 6:06:31 AM)

I'm actually scared of the Wii.  Those two little Japanese guys, coming to my house, bowing to ME???  I'm not sure how I'd handle that.  Talk about give a subby a complex!!!  LOL

Plus, I'm terrified to have the controller slip out my hand and shatter my 50" Samsung HDTV.  Makes me shiver in horror at the thought! [&:]  Even with the wrist strap...just scared it would hurt Mr. Big Screen. [:(]  I don't like anything moving around my TV.  LOL  So I'd take the lazy man's PS3.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 6:07:33 AM)

Now that's a question and a half, Camille. The only thing I can suggest is finding someone near you who has one who would be prepared to let you have a go as a new account is easily added, or there would be some big game shops who would allow you to demo the Wii.

I am what is termed extremely unfit. Some of the tasks are solely balancing ones and take little effort but all the while they're being completed, they're toning up muscle groups and the more they're done, the more they make you work so calories are being burnt.

Asherdelampyr -> RE: Wii Fitness (5/4/2008 6:07:45 AM)

they have better straps.... go to your local gamestore :P
(of course I realize this is tounge in cheek, but oh well, I got to say the word strap in an innocent way today :P)
