I'm 3 and 2 in that order. But my definition of submissive goes way beyond the parameters of BDSM, it is genuinely a lifestyle for me where I am also submissive through my theatre, charity work and social activisim. I am submissive to the way of life I follow, to myself, to my theatre, to my ideas, and to the other people I help. But then again I'm also dominant, I lead, I inspire, I take the intiative. But not in a relationship. The third motivation isn't just about making your Dominant or other people happy, but in removing unhappiness, stress, conflict, serving, making a sacrifice and so much more. You can make a Dominant happy without putting their needs first, but submission is actually just that, putting someone's needs before your own without any expectation of anything in return. But I feel that No. 1 isn't much to do with being a submissive, but this is a motivation which lies in all of us. Not everybody can be strong all the time, we all have our weak moments, there are times when we are vulnerable, when we just want to sit back and have someone else make the decisions and take care of us. Everybody needs somebody, and there are times when we do need to reach out to others.
