Lumus -> RE: nudist (5/5/2008 3:43:52 PM)

Couldn't vote.  Believe it or not, I don't thrive well in groupings; so the idea of going out purposefully to socialize, clothing or not, is always uncomfortable for me.

I don't think about joining the local writer's group, either.  It's nothing against the concept beyond the fact that it's a gathering.  Hmm.  Guess that's why I've never bothered to attend the local munch, despite being a member.

i'm a bit like Lumus.  but my first reason would be that i've got too many issues with my body, it would just stress me out too much, and stress is what i'm avoiding like the plague right now.   it is fun to fantasize about though.

A question for the nudist house holds, Do you run around nude all the time? what if people come over?

When I lived in a place where people often went unclothed we had a sign on the door.  "There may be naked people inside.  If that doesn't both you, knock on the door.  If it does, ring the bell and we'll slip into robes before answering the door."

We try to keep robes or sweats around and I usually answer the door while andi puts something on.

I agree with some of the other ladies. I am too uncomfortable with my body to be nude in a large group. -.-; At home it is okay. But I did date someone once that forbid me to walk around the house nude, said it was uncivilized.

Samii -> RE: nudist (5/5/2008 7:26:42 PM)

I would love for My sub/slave to be nude all the time,

stormgirl -> RE: nudist (5/5/2008 8:07:45 PM)

*cough*

i have swum nekkid and sauna-ed nekkid and done the hot-tub thing . . . . without water and not around my house, not nekkid.  i never thought of the water-nekkid connection.  but on land, no - i mean, where would i put my Stuff?  plus i dont like the attention.

(edited to be vaguely understandable)

Is he stoopid?

CalifChick -> RE: nudist (5/6/2008 4:09:53 PM)

Apparently my nudity requires special lighting and/or water.  The orgies I've been to were never under klieg lights (thank god).

Phin -> RE: nudist (5/6/2008 4:26:24 PM)

I will bite... what is a klieg light?

fluffypet61 -> RE: nudist (5/6/2008 4:54:09 PM)

i believe that most people at "clothing optional"/nudist/naturist clubs/camps are there to enjoy nature or the other activites(swiming, fishing, eating, watching TV, playing pool, etc) FOR THEMSELVES.

They are not going there for the purpose of checking out the bodies of the other members.  They don't have orgies on the lawn.  Most men do not walk around with a hard-on.

There are children there with their parents, young couples, older couples, groups of friends and individuals.

They carry a towel to sit on and probably protect their feet outdoors with sandels or shoes.

Everyone of us has distintive details about our bodies that make us different from others - a mole, a birthmark, surgery scars...

Once again, people don't go there to look at you - or have you look at them.  They go there to enjoy being outdoors/indoors - without being confined by clothing.

A klieg light is a very intense spotlight. They were most known for use in making films, and are bright enough to film a daytime scene at night. They are also intense enough to impart temporary blindness.

A formal nudist colony? Dues paying and all? No.

I grew up on a clothing optional beach. Rarely went fully nude but often topless.

Lynnxz -> RE: nudist (5/6/2008 5:35:54 PM)

My friend told me yesterday, "You are the nakedest person I know"

I am, I guess. I'm all kinds of random nudity, especially now with a bad sunburn.  Never around anyone that could get irritated, but around the house, and around the friend I mentioned above... yes. At home I'm usually at least topless, although I'm careful because I do live with other people.

For some reason though, I hate shorts. Pants and skirts yes, but shorts make me feel odd.
