My 76 year old dom and I had the discussion about why HE doesn't date women closer to his own age. He said it was just a preference and he wasn't a snob about age (I'm 42). I countered that since I apparently have a preference for old guys, I should list in my profile that I preferred older men, at least 60 or 70, and see the avalanch of responses. One of the issues which can be considered is that, as I have found in the Pagan Community in Queensland, those who are older and provably have more experience in what ever we are talking about, seem to scare off a number of the younger ones because (and especially males) their egos are wounded because they may no longer be cock of the hoop. Seen this time after time when the young bucks are preening as we all did in our youth, before a group of females or other admirers and some old fart wanders in and as soon as his name is mentioned (if he has a reputation) or his energies are felt, the preening youth suddenly don’t look so good. I’ve also seen this with mature women too as they claim attention without flickering an eyelash. Interestingly enough there is a swing employment wise for businesses to start recruiting retirees and older staff to add to a young work force to bring wisdom and experience. It matters not if these older statesmen/women are working part time, their capabilities are a huge asset.. I have friends my age who have younger folk in collars often because sex is not on the agenda anyway. It is one reason why we at bruin Cottage, have always considered a good mix of male and female slaves which allows a healthy sexual release in a poly home. Personally, if Neets wants to bed a bloke, it is fine by me as long as I know what is happening and with whom. I draw the line when some one tries to edge me out of the equation.
