you know honestly though, that was the chance i took. and would i do this all over agian. yes of course, i have met so many nice ppl here. learned truly who i am and proud. smiles! now if i could just figure who the heck it is. they are playing a game with the wrong person, cus i could care less!! so now they are blocked, friend or family dont matter. you know at first they said they couldnt believe how brave i was. i dont call this brave, just not ashamed. now do i want my parents and family to know i am into bdsm and owned ! um no but if asked, would just politely say "yes and?"..

Most of the people who write me with an introduction mention that they like my pictures, so I guess that has a lot to do with their interest in me. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a picture in return, especially if it is sent privately. As for role in society and other social circles, I have a fair amount of friends active in the scene who also have similar concerns, yet they manage to be active here and locally. You can always do a torso shot, or a blurred/partially concealed image, or only send pictures via email.

But yes, pictures are a deal breaker for me.

A couple of my favorites do not have pics. One sends pics directly to my PM box... the other I have never seen at all. However, I did not make the initial contact. They wrote to me. Both are older and highly entertaining. I enjoy speaking to them. The one I've never seen said he looks like Quasimodo. I respect that. I doubt that he is actually as unattractive as he claims but he is an exceptional human being regaurdless of his appearance.

Moral of the story: If you don't post a pic, you better be EXTREMELY verbal and persistant to get a woman to notice you.

I can understand everyone's point of view. I have a problem also with just posting a picture on the internet for everyone to use. I don't mind sending a picture to someone whom I have made contact with, but it is hard to just post a generic picture. I may post one that does not show all my features, but lets the other person know I am real. I also think the pictures that are posted sometimes reveal way to much...on both sides. I like to see what the Dom looks like in "vanilla" clothing. After all she is not always going to be dressed in fetish clothing. Just me and my simple thoughts.

I am new to this site. I have not posted a picture yet. what is wrong with just a normal g rated pic? why does everyone think it has to be naked? I could understand if things develop maybe even a bathing suit pic. just wondering still getting the hang of this site.

I don't believe anyone thinks it has to be naked. A lot of people prefer g-rated, at least to begin with (and there are some TOS issues about what's acceptable in a profile pic).

I'm usually suspicious of profiles with no pictures, or profile pictures that don't include a face. Nowadays on the Intarnetz there's just too many opportunities for general fuckery for me to believe that a profile for a 20-year-old lesbian submissive with DD-cup boobs isn't actually a 40-year-old overweight plumber from Jersey named Dave who's looking for something to spank his monkey with.

Of course being concerned about coworkers or family members finding your profile is a legitimate concern, but you'd have to also ask them what they were *doing* on the website in the first place. While I don't harbor too much concern over being "outed" (hell, everyone who knows me already has figured out that something is not quite right with this girl) I still take a few precautions. It's a lot harder for people to sort through profiles in search of someone without knowing their real name or the city/area they live in, after all. Even if you had a picture up, failing to mention either of those things would presumably bury your profile pretty deep in the pile.

As far as contents of pictures... I prefer clothed shots. I hate opening up my mail and getting a gratuitous wang shot in the face. It also affects the way I view that person. Starting off a line of conversation with "HAY LOOK AT MY D*CK LOLOLOL" indicates more that the person is interested in sexual gratification rather than an actual relationship, at least in my opinion.
