I find it funny that when looking through all the Mistress adds in my area that almost every add requests a picture or no reply. Lately I have been having a little trouble getting responses so obviously this is coming into play in ladies decisions to return my messages. In this game I think that trust given is trust earned and unfortunately have run into the occasional guy posing as a lady on the net to try to get attention...hense I'm a little shy about sending out my photo to a random personality online without know anything except they are a Mistress. Maybe this would not be such a problem however some of us need to be descreet due to our roles in society and other social circles.

I am sure we all get that but you aren't the only person here that needs to for whatever reasons, needs to have some discretion--however, this is a public site and hence, out of the gate you have exposure- so if its that big a deal then you may need to rethink exposure. --as for those that require a pic--well we have been the victims of posers too. Its a two way street---kind of the way it is.

If you want someone who will be sympathetic to your lack of desire to show a picture, make sure you only respond to female dominant profiles without a photo. Those women probably have "discretion issues" of their own and are likely to be more sympathetic to your views on photo exchange.

I would tend to agree. For those of us who put up pics, it shouldn't be unreasonable to want to see one in return.

Op some tips. If you post a pic dont have one wearing a black and white strpied shirt. Do'nt post one with you holding up a card with a lot of numbers on it unless it is your phone number. Do'nt post my pic. Add on your profile that you will send a pic on request if the other party will do the same.

Most people on the site are looking for someone with whom to engage in BDSM play. Generally, people want to do that sort of thing with someone they find physically attractive. If you don't have a photo, and a thousand other people do, your odds decrease. A lot.

All excellent responses. I tend to communicate a little more than others I guess, I know the physical side of things is important as it is will me, however I like to know what is going on inside a person's head as well...especially when I know I might be submitting power to them. I wasn't complaining in my original post, just seeking differnt thoughts and opinions.

How do you look with your shirt off? Could you send a pic of yourself wearing nothing but a pair of jeans -- cut off at the neck? I don't post a pic. I've met women here, online-to-real. I do send a pic with most initial emails.

i'm not too worried about discretion myself, because my pictures aren't obscene. in fact, my profile and pictures are both appropriate enough that i wouldn't be embarassed to have my family or friends see and to read. now if my content was graphic and i sent out cock pics like a retard i probably would have cause to worry who sees what, but thankfully i keep private matters to private engagements.

I have FOURTEEN pics up... none show my face. It's not hard to think of a way to make an interesting pic that does not disclose your identity -OR- show your privates. Cruise through some of the male profiles. You don't even have to be 'buff' to look interesting. I've seen several that only show the top of the head, either with the sub kneeling or upright & holding the camera over his head. Blind folds & gimp masks work. One of the HOTTEST ones I've seen was the back of a 'cowboy' holding a saddle with no pants under his chaps... just VERY NICE buns! Sit on your motorcycle wearing a helmet... whatever. Select your best asset (all puns intended) and think of a way to show it while showing SOMETHING about yourself. You want to make the receiver slow down and take a 2nd look. You need something interesting to make the lady go "oooooh... Interesting.... I might like to speak to this guy."

In this day and age of camera phones, ultra cheap DSLRs and hassle-free photo hosting, there is no justifiable reason why anyone with an online profile can't include a general photograph of themselves. What do you have to loose, even if the person on the other end is "fake"? Mistresses often have a collection of photos of themselves online for anyone to peruse. Do the droves of anonymous phonies, wankers and time wasters that fill their mail boxes on an hourly basis keep them up at night? Certainly not. A profile without a photo is just plain boring, and begs the question why the user is making such a big deal about hiding his or her mug in the first place. It smacks of paranoia and game playing right out of the gate.

i know so many here cant give a photo for what ever reasoning it be! for me i took the chance, by putting a pic of myself. and guess what i was noticed by someone who is either a family member or a friend. but of course they wont tell me who they are. i am not ashamed of who i am, but i know why ppl cant. i do think its reasonable to ask like most said here, that a pic be requested after the initial email. it is only fair. smiles.. good luck

Call it shallow, but most people are very visual. Why do you think billboards are so fricking expensive? It's why everyone from beer companies to auto-parts manufacturers use 6 foot half naked women in their ads. Go to e-bay and search for shirts- see what's more appealing... 1) the item with no picture, 2) the item with a picture, but the shirt is just laid out on the floor, or 3) the shirt on the model/mannequin. You are never going to as much interest without a picture, than you will with a picture. It's boring. People like to look at things. Besides, if you've got such a high end important social standing, I guarantee someone will fine out about it regardless..
