Termyn8or -> RE: Walmart GE money bank credit card repeated fraud showing up (5/9/2008 12:02:10 AM)

First of all if Walmart is involved, what did you expect ? You look in that big building, three people are making money, everybody else is on welfare. And ythat is not bullshit. First of all, when there are fraudulent charges ther are two possibilities. One is that somebody got all your numbers and places phone orders having "gifts" delivered to their friends, the only other way is to be in physical possesion of the card. A Walmart employee would be a prime suspect, they all need money, and they have access to the information. On your statement there is a unique ID number for each entity that charges against your card. Does that number match the number for the times you actually DID charge something at Walmart ? If so, the investigation should be quite simple. Since they were not in physicalpossesion of the card at the time the charge must be done on a computer. It did not come up the pipe from a card reader. If it did that would mean that a duplicate card was run off when you applied for it. Most likely though, the thief is playing the odds. Letme tell you how people are, if you are young and just getting credit, or for any reason are just getting credit, they do not care about you. There is X amount of chance that Daddy is paying the card or something like that. They play the odds. Actually the odds of someone noticing times the odds of it ever coming back to them makes it a pretty good bet. So they do it. They don't care if they wreck your credit, and even if Daddy is paying the card, they don't care if they wreck your relationship. Not at all. My best advice would be to contact the state attourney general's office and see if you can prod them into an investigation. If you can, don't report the card stolenor anything, let the thief do somemore dirty work, that is how they will catch him. If you have anyone else on the account with you, everything changes, everything. But that is not what you said. Personally I would have never applied for any kind of card at Walmart, go to a real bank. But that's just me. If the company cooperates it will be traced back to one person, if not they are guilty of obstructing justice, so in the end you really should not lose. Unless you have someone on the account with you. T
