greetings to everyone

I am really trying hard to understand my neighbors.
I live in a very small community, the local market is just a few blocks away.
My neighbor's have about 10 people living in their home. Daily the mom walks to the market, and walks back home, pushing the cart from the market. After unloading the cart she then parks it in between our homes.  Somedays there are as many as three ( lovely orange ) carts out there. Why can't she push the damn cart back to the market when she returns?
Not only do these carts make my street look trashy, but daily the local kids play with these carts pushing each other around, then leaving the carts lay where they may. I have tried to explain this to my neighbor, sadly.. as I write there are two carts in front of my home.
I am almost to the point of being so brazzen as to push them up into her yard.
any help, or advise will be appreciated.

call the store they came from, and request that they are picked up, also if the carts are not to be removed from the retail property, she could get a fine as well.   One fine, and I'm sure she won't be bringing anymore carts home.

Everyday that I found them there I'd do just that...push them right up to her front door and leave them there.  Be consistent.  Do it every single time.

Push them right into their yard, or turn them over in the driveway.  None of those ten people can be bothered to push the carts back to the store?

Make yourself a pest to the store manager as well.

God, I hate living next door to trash.

I agree and if that fails to work stage a fake injury by tripping over one of these carts and report it to the local newspaper and claim a billion squid compensation from the supermarket. Then buy her house out from under her and force her to live in a kennel naked where she is repeatedly hosed down with icy cold water.

Set up a cart blockade in front of her home and force her to see reason with political dialogue.

Is that supposed to be a punishment?  More like a fantasy to me.

If only you were my neighbour Aileen, what fun we could have in this neighbours from hell role play.

I would call the store and ask them kindly to remove their property from my yard.  I would also explain to them where it is coming from.

agrees with KatyLied. Why start an out and out war with these people? Do you want them to start up an ugly heated exchange?

Call the store and let them know. Have them come and pick up the carts. There are 10 of them and i imagine just you? You don't know what these people are capable of and what they could possibly be involved in...just my two cents...

well, if youve already talked (calmly) with the neighbors and it didnt work...
i agree also. i think if you opened a dialog with the store manager they would be very willing to help you.
where i live taking those carts = theft
( i dont see how having 10 people living in the house has anything to do with the mom bringing carts home)

Greetings to All,

Thank you  for the replies.  I have called the store many times.  The store tells me, Yes we are aware of the problem, and they do send out a truck once in a while to retrieve the carts back. The issues is my still the carts are here daily.  The store has a very visual sign saying " Removal of these carts from the property is prohibited by law", Yet the store does nothing aswell.   The store is very aware that the carts are on the street. I have tried to talk to the mom, but she does not speak english. So I have made my feelings known to the kids who are over 18 and speak english, their reply is, I will tell my mom. ugh. I feel like a wheel on an automobile ..  I just go round and round..
my many thanks for all the advise.

You would think, with 10 people in the house hold.. someone could return the cart?  .. that was my point of bringing up the amount of people in that home.

One of your local news agency probably has a help me so and so/shame on whatever type bit they run from time to time.  Document stuff and call them up, they love stories that don't really hurt anyone but have plenty of "frightening" things about property value, damage to property, theft, etc going ignored.  If someone's house was recently burglarized it's even better since they can do some closeups of a napkin in a bush or something and talk about how the trash is drawing crime too.

domah, it doesn't but most cities and towns have occupancy laws.
Usually two people to each bedroom as a general rule.

If I were you, I would not entertain her posessions on your property. You have every right to knock on her door, "do me a favour, keep your carts on your property". You don't need to offer any explanation - just tell it how it is.

As much as I hate to get into this, it is likely that ehy are exceeding the occupancy allowance for the dwelling.

Also, examine the carts closely, maybe you can scrap them. Don't get caught, that would be conversion, but you have the advantage that they came unsolicited and therefore are your's.

After the store loses twenty of them, your neighbor will probably be in jail. Money talks. Those things cost money.

If you can cut the bases off of them with the wheels I would probably buy them for quite a bit more than scrap price.

In other words, fight fire with money.

Cart road calming policy such as speed humps could also be effective policy in this delicate area. Ever tried to get a cart over one of them speed humps they have in Tesco car parks fucking annoying those things and bound to break any glass you have in the cart.
