These three shows influenced the person i am today:

Rainbow Brite, She-ra Princess of Power, and the Care Bears which all at some point featured people being tied up, girls being helpless, or being captured which is probably why i love being tied, helpless, and held captive by Sir.

Try some orignal Popeye...near 3D. (Ali Baba, Sinbad) I dont think anyone got tied up nearly as much as Olive Oyl.   Betty Boop as well...bizarre metamorphic images in many of them...must have been produced before opium and such became controlled substances.  I still prefer most art done pre Hanna Barberra. Flat computer styles took the  mmmph  out of cartoons lives. Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle...Rocky and Bullwinkle....pass me the Geritol for another swig damnit.

Back in the mid-50s to mid 60-s, they were all black and white.

I can't recall when animation started to get really shitty, but I'm thinking around the mid-70s.
