I'm going to second blueskyboy on the Seiko S-Yard ES-412 Cleancut Shaver. As close, if not closer than any razor. And no burn or worse, ingrown hairs. But I must point out, DO NOT use TALC POWDER if you are female. There is a possible link between talc and cervical cancer. Try Coloplast Sween Body Powder. Works fine for us.

Funny people are discussing submissives being told to shave. Not that I exclude myself from that group. But my Domina loves it when I shave her. With the Cleancut, it is a relaxing affair for her. She once fell asleep on me! Nice little buzzy shaver being rubbed all over the fun bits. What's not to like?

Tea Tree Oil instead of soap or cream.  Makes skin very soft, and tap the razor clear instead of relying on water pressure.

A viable aternative is "sugaring" : a middle eastern technique. It can be difficult to find someone who performs it though.  From My reading on the topic (helping one of My ^[girls]^ in her research) the "sugar" is a paste made of various herbs and such, in a  powder matrix that is applied after being dampened to form the paste.  What I've read indicates that after the third time it has been done, the regrowth of the hair is lessened by about 60% and thus treatments are less frequently needed.
I hope this information is of assistance.
Blessed be, ^Uyraell^.

About three years ago I saw a sugar kit in a store.
Sugar?
Sugar!
Sugar is sweet therefore this will be easy peasy breezy!

It made me cry from pain. Not good pain nope nope.
The evil stuff STUCK to my skin, the muslin strips fell apart.

In regards to Nair.

~Nair oh Nair
You promised to make me bare.
Nair oh Nair
Hell will freeze over before you go there.~

Epilady thing. Worst of all. I still have four small scars on my leg.
Saga on my profile.

Sigh. One day there will be a painless, cheap and easy way to be totally hair free wherever you want. I'm waiting for a little green pill to take daily, it will stop all hair growth from chin down. I include the chin because at a certain age chin hairs can appear, or so I'm told. I think I still have a year or two before that happens.

I use Gillette Sensor XL for women on my legs. No matter where I look I can't find another cartridge holder so I hope mine holds up.
The cost of razors is horrific, 7 bucks for 5 cartridges seems to be about average from what I've seen unless your skin can handle the cheapo ones.

Ha. This is a subject near and dear to my heart actually. I want want to be smooooooth but have yet found a way for me. I tried the laying on the bed thing but my vision is not good enough. I've tried in the shower but I can't contort that well (I don't believe anyone who claims they can shave their coochie in the shower dammit, can't be done dammit). I have very dark coarse hair which refuses to be shorn. It is straight too which I hate.
Oh dear.
I'm on a pubic hair rant.

Again!!

ETA because I'm having spelling and writing issues. [;)]

I tried shaving the never regions once before and it went pretty poorly to say the least.Especially when it came to shaving the ball sack. After over a half an hour of shaving it was done, very sore, badly done and when the hair started to grow back it itched terribly.I also found it discomforting especially during my gym outings!! Some good tips on here i am thinkin if i try again it will be a waxing job.Waxing the balls area worries me i must admit[:o]

seiko clean cut

google it - worth the price

I've been thinking about getting one of them. They have a new one model now, too. More expensive, and I don't know if it's worth the difference. Can anyone give a review, especially if it includes a comparison of the original Seiko CleanCut vs. their new model?

~fast reply~

shaving has been something that i have had requested of me.  Daddy...well i was a bad girl and mostly refused, just went with the "trimmed very close" via a beard-trimmer.  (wolf's.  it amused the hell outta me cause he never realized... *innocent look*)

so now that i'm going into a 24/7 situation with TheEngineer, he's asked that i keep shaved.  hrmm. ok, lets try it.  disposable 3 blade razor, use it no more than 2 times to shave the hoo-ha.  that works, then i downgrade the razor to shave the legs with, i can use it 4-5 more times.  mm-kay.

but sitting on the side of the tub is a pain in the ass (literally) and i have a problem with getting everything clean-shaven cause i'm not exactly svelte.  i'm built for comfort in the ride, not speed in getting there.  [8D]    on hearing this, TheEngineer said he'd absolutely do it himself.  more power to him!

right now i'm NOT shaven because i dont want heat rash from driving 3 days in a moving van.  just ick.  pass, thank you.

I just ordered one, with the trimmer. With my continuous and weird hair removal problems this may end up as another journal entry!
But I hope not [:D]

AFAIK, Gillette stopped making the Sensor for women a while ago, and replaced it with the Venus line. Which, IMO, are much better - but the cartridges are even more expensive. The basic Venus blades are 4/$9 and they go up to 4/$13 for the fanciest ones, at least at CVS.

I've been tempted to start trying the Noxema bikini shavers, but the tiny size makes me wonder how long they'll really last.
