Misogyny. that's it. That's my whole problem with the "I love you too much to beat you" argument. It makes me think that the only reason he was beating her in the first place is because he wants to punish women. I don't want to be an object of hate. Hey punish me, I love it, but don't do it because you hate me. Do it because it makes you hot. And that will be true whether you love me or not.
