Glioblastoma multiformae (several locations) is what killed my ex. He was diagnosed 5 months before he died of pneumonia. The chemo and radiation weakened his body so much that the opportunistic infection won. He was 47. His father (my ex father-in-law) had the same tumor. He died only 6 weeks after diagnosis. We were told the tumor was inoperable, but they went in anyway to relieve pressure from swelling- he died from meningitis, secondary infection again. He was 54. With both, the first sign was a seizure- mistaken for a stroke. I don't think Senator Kennedy has very long.
