They are not okay, however Bush Inc. is in power and Bush Inc. is implementing these policies and infringing on our rights, not Hillary Clinton.  Not to mention Bush's illegal occupation based on deceit...and false claims, and well, you know the rest. If the entire electoral process was revamped we may not have a president illegally given the presidency and the entire world would be in a different state than it is now. No wonder we are laughed at elsewhere.

Pardon me if I remain unpersuaded by 'bbu-bbu-bbu-bbuu-Buuuush' as a rationale for supporting the venalities that both sides blatantly profit from.

The subject is the election, and Bush isn't running, Hillary is.  Everything about her history, including her own comments and voting records indicates that she supports the status quo that got her where she is today... including the war, the Patriot Act, censorship, goverment end runs around personal freedom and Constitutional rights, subsidies for the rich, and so forth.
As far as I can see, a vote for Hillary is a vote for more of the same.

If someone wanted to show me where she has courageously taken a stand against 'business as usual', or where she has laid out a promise or a plan to directly reverse the trends that are ruining everything, I would be happy to see it.

Did I stutter?  No. If you wish to be concise the subject is Idiot McCain.  I concur.

How can you say in one breath that Clinton is the same as Bush, yet you support McCain?  That is quite a reach Alumbrado.

How can you fraudulently say that I claimed to support McCain?  Thanks for revealing your zealous dishonesty early, I had almost built up some respect for your posts until this.

I believe that we will be waiting for a long time for either of you to provide a link to a quote where I said I support McCain's election bid.

Just like we are still waiting for you to provide proof of your claim that someone had to have their own pilot's license before they could join the military to fly.

But don't let facts get in the way of your zealous hatemongering against anyone who won't let you do their thinking for them.

Fair enough... I can see where all that time spent listening to everything Rush, Coulter,  and the rest spew wouldn't leave you enough time to deal with mere facts.

Easier to go with emotional rhetoric and sound bites, and the willing suspension of skepticism, hmmmm?

Except that's how we got Bush in the first place!

Good post and I know both sides do it. My personal favorites are when they post crap about the other side, then find out they were wrong and it was their own candidate that got caught. This one gave me quite a chuckle.

That was on purpose. My point was that such stories were totally stupid and yet people fall for them anyway. Are you silly enough to believe that such a story is true of Obama or that it matters even if it were?

I am not really a big Obama supporter, but I prefer him over McCain because of the the wildly ignorant fundy-impressing shit coming out of McCain's mouth of late.

Anyway, if you think you caught me out on something , guess again...

Gore Vidal can be so deliciously bitchy  .

The author behind Myra Breckinridge certainly can

quote:

I ask if he thinks Obama has a similar charisma to that of John F Kennedy, whom Vidal got to know because he was related to his wife, Jackie.

“I never believed in Jack’s charisma,” Vidal says shortly. JFK, he believes, was “one of our worst presidents”; Bobby, his brother, was “a phoney, a little Torquemada”; and their father, Joseph, was “a crook – should have been in jail”.

ohhh stop that . I know you secretly covet me...  I assumed you supported McCain since you do not support Clinton and it seems that you do not like Obama.  My error. See how that works?  Stop being so zealous...

So your post -

"So McCain supposedly did cocaine in the back of a limo and then had sex with the male chauffeur. Can it be? Didn't he realize doing so would destroy his political career? What if his wife gets AIDS because of his carelessness?

I don't know if I can trust a man that will cheat on his wife and expose her to diseases without her consent. And I guess that makes his position on drugs hypocritical to say the least. Where are the honest politicians of today?

McCain, you just lost my vote!

< Message edited by SugarMyChurro -- 4/7/2008 11:40:30 PM >

That was all bs. You posted it, knowing it was about Obama, but said in the OP that is was about McCain.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense and I have real trouble believing it, but whatever......

OK, I gotta ask. In the next post you are accused of spending too much time listening to Rush.

You don't really listen to Rush, do you?

Inquiring minds and all that.....

Is there another poster on these boards who spends more time quoting Rush, Coulter et al, than Owner? I for one am perfectly happy never listening to them.

That's the exact story that came out about Obama. I can't see why it's hard to believe I swapped out the names to make a point about such stories, I did it three time that same week. Some/all of them ended up in "Random stupidity" or whatever...

From the same thread http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=1772694
SugarMyChurro: It would be bad if all politics boils down to is a competing set of lies told by both parties. I mean, right...?

Same week, 2 days later: "McCain, Closet POW Homo" http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=1775486

I was experimenting with the tactics of right-wing smear-campaigners. What's so hard to believe?
