I have my doubts about the last two words, there. as far as i can tell, watching male family memebers when i was growing up, you catch fish, you don't catch fish - kind of an act of God there - but the men never seem to care much, one way or another, about that part. i think they liked the drinking beer part, mostly.

LOL.  It depends.  I know guys that take it VERY seriously.  They go out and buy every gadget you can think of.  Depth finders, all sorts of different lures, different lines, a dozen different rods and reels.  I myself have managed to accumulate probably 1000 dollars worth of crap in my tackle box.  But I usually go with the old bucket of worms or crickets.  I have a really expensive fly rod that I have never used.  I keep telling myself I am going to use it, but I don't.  But back to your point, I usually catch a few when I go out.  I don't keep most of them, but that's not the point of recreational fishing.

As many of You know i recently moved to a new community.....Despite all my previous protestations, i ended up in a small town.  The other day at work someone asked me what i do for fun........And for the life of me i can't remember. i can remember what i did back home for fun, but can't seem to figure that out here. Today, was an especially tough day at work, and when i walked out the door it hit me that in the past i would've gone out and hung out with my neice and nephews. Any suggestions, experience, opinions welcome.
Thanks,
Kali

I was actually considering having fun this weekend, but I decided to focus on my true submissive nature....and I opted to spend a shitload of money filling up my gas tank instead.

(I'm feeling quite fulfilled now).

Umm ... I go out and trail ride on my horses.  I play WOW.  I used to be part of a live steel medieval reenactment group but we moved away from them.  Since the SCA doesn't even have a decent group around here, we are limited for playing that kind of dress up at the moment.

Oh, and there's always porn.

I'm a big city guy with small town relatives. When I find myself down there and in need of some time away from the family I grab a couple of sandwiches and a good book. Theres nothing quite like reading a good book under a blue sky to put me at peace with the world.

As to more active fun you're going to need friends for that. Hopefully you will make some and then you can go and hang around with your new friends.

Hmmm.... would da bass boat count as unnecssary crap as far as my fishing goes? LOL.  Duel depth finders (front and back) with a way overpowered motor for the small size of the boat itself.  Tackle box, lures, lines, etc - about $500 worth.  But only a single rod  and reel.  Don't mind worm, but oddly enough spinner tends to work better for me than live bait most of the time.  Maybe that's an Oklahoma Oddity.  Or it could  have to do with the fact that I'm usually after Bass.

I've got a cousin who will marry you sight unseen, well he might want a picture of the boat, assuming you can cook as well.

I should send ya the link to my personals ad - the opening line reads "I'm the woman guys joke about wanting to marry - comes with her own bass boat and truck.  No, you can't have pictures of the bass boat or truck!"  (And yes, I'm actually a good cook - award winning on the local level lol)

I like to go see a movie or go out to hear my friends band play live music. I like to take myself to a movie or get my son and walk to our downtown. We go to a coffee shop cuddle on one of the couches and eat ice cream.

Nah you need to threaten someone for that but to instil paranoia all you have to do is give someone a funny look or question someone’s physical or mental attributes.

I'm very much a science fiction fanboy... I'm either reading it, watching it on TV, collecting it, painting illustrations of it, or attending conventions about it.

Same with astronomy.

Same with sex and BDSM...

read
make chainmaille jewelery
carve wood - when my carpal tunnel permits
play on the puter
watch bad sci-fi movies and stargate on the tv
used to be involved in the local theater - backstage
knit
watercolour
play with my african grey - and clean her cage- and feed her- and clean her cage- and buy her new toys- and clean her cage - do you see a pattern here?
hang out with my Sir
come home from work
water my small garden
watch the birds on the patio - i bribe them with bagels and parrot food
sudoku

and if you can find a circle of knitters, its a great way to meet other women - same with quilters.
I have lots of things i like to do - and not enough time to do them.
