Even though its kind of related to work - for fun I fly. Ie I will go out and pick up useless ratings like "glider" or "Lighter than Air - Balloon" This is something only a pilot could understand - we drop things out of airplanes onto old cars. (Seriously - a buddy of mine has like a 40 acre open field and he put some junked cars out there with a big X on the roof and we will throw things like watermelons or pumpkins from airplanes and bet on the results on who gets closest to the target. ) [Before I get shit about it, YES this is legal! You can drop thinks from airplanes as long as you dont endanger the people on the surface and this is well inside posted private property)

When not fucking around with things that fly or wasting time here I fish - fresh and saltwater, scubadive, hunt, comb through pawnshops looking for great deals on tools, DVD's etc, or I work on projects. I generally always have a project of some type in my garage... Next year I am going to buy and restore an old Bell 47 Helicopter (Like what you see on the opening of MASH)...  I actually went to community college and got an associates degree just so I could get an Airframe and Powerplant ticket and do that someday.... The registrar at the community college thought I had lost my mind - I had to submit transcripts from all prior schools and she saw I already had a BS, an MBA and an MEng. LOL On a serious note though - community colleges are cheap and its worth it sometimes to go take classes just to learn cool shit you might want to know - whether its welding, or autobody, or cooking or whatever. Ive taken a lot of classed just for the hell of it, just to learn some hands on skill or how to properly play with a new toy I bought at the pawn shop (like my MIG Welder).

DA, there's only one thing (as a fellow pilot) that I disagree with you on....

Rotocraft do not Fly - they beat the air into submission underneath them!!

(if you ever decide to put together one of the various kitplanes like a BD10, let me know - I'll be more than happy to volunteer to help!  But NOT for a blinkin $(#*& rotorcraft.)

LOL sooooooo true!!! But helicopters are fun. As you know when an airplane is trimmed for cruise its kind of a hands off afair... HOWEVER, in a helicopter if your nose itches dont take your hand off a control to scratch it or the helicopter will scratch it for you! LOL I mean think about it - cyclic, collective, throttle, two antitourqe pedals - all of which have to have constant inputs 90 degrees ahead of when you want them to take effect... Whats not to love...

I thought about the BD10 kit before all the crashes... Right now though Im pretty close to scheming up a business justification on an L-39  Now THAT will be a fun toy!!!

I play the drums. Cook sauerkraut. Go to fundie churches and key the cars. Send envelopes full of mysterious white powder to Republican organizations. Pretend I'm Napoleon Solo. Accept blowjobs from hot subbies. Cook more sauerkraut. Drive slowly in the fast lane. Take Hunter S. Thompson quantities of mind-altering substances (except alcohol, that shit bad juju). Flirt with subtee. That's about it, I guess.

Well, I'm spending less time on this computer now that the really nice weather has finally arrived!
In another month or so I'll be at the pool everyday sunning and swimming.
I like to watch t.v. shows that I can learn something from.
I like going to the gym.
I like going to the beach for a long walk.
And of course going out to eat at the thousands of restaurants we have in this area.
And occaisionally learning a new song on the violin.

THAT'S one I would love to lend a hand with.  I was a helicopter electrician when I was in the army and I still love the sound of them flying over.  Working on a 47 sounds kind of fun.

Read, learn, listen to music, make new friends, join a club built on interests in line with yours etc.

Also check in the local community paper if they have any local craft/music/book groups etc.  Libraries often have these sorts of notices up on their information boards.  Go out and listen to a local band one night.

Hm... whenever I've lived in a small town (I've lived in a couple), I always end up walking everywhere, exploring, taking photos of the entire downtown area. I like getting to know people somewhere, be it at a small coffee shop or the library. It feels good to be a regular, and it's so much easier in small town shops.

I've lived in a small town (2,000 people) for over 12 years and am moving to a city of 140,000 people next week. I knit, spin wool, sew, embroider, read a lot, cook, bake, can/freeze foods, garden, know most people in my town (my family has lived in the area for 100 years) study history and archaeaology, learn new things, travel, enjoy meeting people and all sorts of things. some definite changes coming up.... But the good things won't - good friends, reading, cooking, sewing, knitting, being with the one I love and best of all, I'll be where things are a lot closer and I won't have to drive an hour to anything.....

In the town where I grew up, you could have a good time by going down to the gas station and jumping up and down on the hose to make the bell ding.

Wind  - that made my day!!!!   Growing up, the local garage had one of those, and we loved it when dad drove over it and had the man come out.

For fun? well aside for talking to all the crazies here, I like to be tied up in hemp, get chocked, hair pulled, and spanked with various implements and whips. I also think wooden clothes pins are fun..oww..sorta.

Edited to say: oh yea, I forgot then I like to be fucked hard in bondage. Not very lady like thing to say but its not makin love now is it when you are tied to a spredder bar. Or is it?

As many of You know i recently moved to a new community.....Despite all my previous protestations, i ended up in a small town.  The other day at work someone asked me what i do for fun........And for the life of me i can't remember. i can remember what i did back home for fun, but can't seem to figure that out here. Today, was an especially tough day at work, and when i walked out the door it hit me that in the past i would've gone out and hung out with my neice and nephews. Any suggestions, experience, opinions welcome.
Thanks,
Kali

I was just up in your neck of the woods approx 4-5 weeks ago at a paintball event. If you get bored, go play paintball. :)
