For myself, yes, experience is important.  That is mainly because of my own lack of experience as a submissive.  If I had years of positive experience and met a man who was interested in learning and with whom I had a wonderful connection, then I may consider it.

Hello, my gf and I are looking to collar, train and grow with a  submissive or slave, but we don't really have the experience in doing so, like we've never held any D/s relationships that weren't online, so as a submissive is it important for a Master/Dom to have experience with being that?

"Master" yourself first.
"Master" your submissive second.

Understand it, revelle in it, consume it, comprehend it, make it yours and know who you are and be all you are as you find yourself growing.

If you dont know who YOU are, ask yourself, why should you ask another to know you and submit?

I know i wanted an experienced Dom.  I did not to waste any time we had training him how to be a Dom.  My Master had experience so it was all good.

Everybody starts somewhere.. Which is something i would try keep in mind when i was seeking. However, with me, if a person has no experience i would have to find them exceptionally compatible and promising personality-wise before i would consider entering into any kind of relationship with them. More so than i would with somebody that was experienced and knew exactly what was what.

This is mainly because as a relatively well experienced submissive myself i have to consider how much extra work i would have to put in to not only answer their potential questions & misunderstandings where the dynamic is concerned, but also to compensate for their lack of experience in order to fully enjoy things myself. As such, any complete or relative newbie approaching me with regards to BDSM would have to strike me as being worth that effort. Yes i'm a slave, but when i am yet to submit i have nothing to answer for.. and my main priority in that decision is myself.

To be honest, whilst online experience is great, I think the physical is so much greater. I wouldn't consider what you are asking as training you would mean for me in my head that I was superior and that wouldn't work for me.... It's rubbish as you have to get experience somewhere.
