There is NO loss of honour in leaving a relationship where HE has already broken the trust on which it was founded.

As said, I run a TPE dynamic, if I became the kind of person she couldn't trust, if I turned into somekind of lying decietfull cheat then I instructed her at the very begining of our relationship not to walk away but to run. I am not that type, something she trusts in but I gave her clear instructions what to do if it turned out I was!

NO community worth its salt would blame a girl for leaving someone who she could not trust... trust is vital to WIITWD!

Don'tcha think it's time you got back to posting stuff I *disagree* with?  You've been scaring me like this of late; you ok?

Perhaps it was England's "come from nowhere" win against the Kiwis, yesty? lol

But inside - in my heart and mind i know that rightly or wrongly i cant trust Him again. Regardless of others' opinions, and i thank everyone here for there honesty and support, i have to honour my own. i have to leave.

Bottom line... you can't trust him... without trust there is no relationship worth having. Onward and upward, good luck in finding someOne you CAN trust.

let him go, dont bother asking for permission.

When I lose respect for my ex-Dom, I just couldnt concentrate on our play anymore, and the excitement was gone. it took me quite some time to get rid of the whole thing, but sooner or later you have to do it anyway.

defiantbadgirl -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 2:33:00 AM)

Let him go. Then laugh in his face when he gets caught cheating on a vanilla wife he can't be faithful to. Plenty of guys learn they are kinky years after the marriage and cheat because they're chicken shit to tell their wives. That's bad enough. But for a guy to deliberately want to go this route......he must be looking for a way to keep his bank account empty for many years to come. Divorce and child support aren't cheap.

I think it's more than just colonial theory that England fans are perennial sporting masochists.  Perhaps you're just too uber-dominant to follow and share their usual patriotic pain? [8|]

Mate, come live in Oz - we're sporting Sadists out here; no need to live in "tiddlywinks" denial then.... [8D]

What is your status? Whatever YOU decide it is. If you felt strongly enough to ask for release, then perhaps you should put on a pair of boots and start walking.

please forgive this one for being naive - but if a slave is owned - if a slave is property - and has consented to this - if a slave is collared - then does a slave really have any rights - is it ok for the slave to say "let's make a deal"? is that really being a slave or more a sub - this one does not know but sincerely seeks to know  - what rights does a true slave really have - please explain

CruelDesires -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 12:35:49 PM)

Not many people understand the Master/slave lifestyle. As I see it. *shrugs*

That sounds like a wonderful thread topic.

angelwithhonor -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 12:54:59 PM)

i dont mean to be rudescslave4Master . your name has slave, did you discuss your role with your Master? and many here do have a differ look on a role of a slave and sub. [:)]

xxblushesxx -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 1:01:03 PM)

Hmmm....I can see both sides of this argument; but, as others have pointed out, when he lied and broke the agreement, then he broke the contract.
It's kind of like if I hire someone to paint my house...but one year later I'm still out thousands with no paint job done...just because we have a contract, doesn't mean that he/she doesn't have to fulfill their end of the bargain. If they don't, then there is no contract. If *I* want to, I can wait for him/her to get to painting; more than likely I'd be having them 'get to steppin'...and get my money back.

In the eyes of the law (which superceeds any Master/slave, Dom/sub, whatever kind of relationship) as a human being you have rights. You can not in a legal sense be human and be property.

I mean sure, it's all great to say as a slave you have no rights except what you Master gives you, but if you choose to go to the police and say you are being held against your will your Master will be atleast talked to if not arrested.

If you told the police or the courts that you couldn't leave because your Master said no cause you have no rights and it's his decision, they would look at you like you are nuts and probably send you for a Psych evaluation.

CruelDesires -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 1:10:06 PM)

So then as a submissive, she has the right to leave whenever she feels that he has not honored his agreement. She has the right as a submissive to question what he is doing and how their relationship is progressing. As a submissive she has the right to change the structure of the relationship to better fit her needs.

But as a slave, didn't she give up those rights when she entered into a lifelong contract with her master?

So... Then they were just in a D/s relationship and not a M/s one.

Can you see where I would differentiate between the two styles of relationship?

CD

xxblushesxx -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 1:17:51 PM)

No. I'm sorry, but absolutely not.
It's not just when she 'thinks' that he has not honored the agreement, but when she is made painfully aware of the breach.
"Master" can't just do whatever he wants; he must abide by their agreement, whatever that was. Otherwise "slave" loses trust and respect for "master". When that happens, it's over anyway.

KatyLied -> RE: Release request denied (5/29/2008 1:20:27 PM)

And why would a Master want to keep a slave who didn't want to serve him?  Just because he can?
