First thing I would question is whether tattooing - adding specific artificial pigmentation to the skin - would do any good for someone who has problems with loosing pigmentation. Tattoos fade over time even for those of us who do Not have such a problem - though it's worse for ink that's exposed to sunlight, etc., so in the area where you're talking about having something done it's not As much a consideration. (Unless, of course, you tend to do nude suntanning/tanning bed time - since it's the UV from sunlight that causes the ink to fade.)
Second thing to consider - tattoos ARE painful to aquire. Period, end of discussion, they Hurt to get them, even for someone who Enjoys pain. (As who should know better than a pain junkie with several tattoos!) The more sensative an area is naturally, the more it's going to hurt to get tattooed there. If your breasts are particularly sensative, especially the areola area right around the nipple - then it could easily be an excruciatingly painful experience for you to get tattooed there. If you aren't overly sensative in the breast area, chances are it's not going to hurt any Worse than an area like the lower (underside) of the arm. (For me, the underside/inside of the arm has been a really difficult area to have worked on while I finish sleeving out on one side - it's more prone to scar tissue naturally, and more sensative than the outside of the arm as well.)
Third thing to consider is what Level and Naughty both mentioned - how does your partner feel about the issue? Have you talked to him - both about your self consciousness concerning the lack of natural pigmentation, and concerning his opinions on trying a means of artificial remedy? As your Partner - power dynamic not withstanding - he has a place in your decision making process. From a personal standpoint, it would be my Hope that his opinion is based on how you feel about yourself - either agreeing, if he honestly thinks it's going to help you improve your self image (which imo is always a good thing) or disagreeing if he feels that it would be bad for you on some level such as physically or emotionally (from it being a stopgap in deeper psychological self image issues.)
Either way, keep in mind that Every person is going to react differently to tattooing as a procedure. Biological acceptance or rejection of ink and the rates at which it occure differ. How you will react to the Specific Type of pain induced by the needle is going to vary both from how someone else reacts and how different Portions of your body react. How well certain colors show up is going to be different for you than for someone else, even someone else with the same condition as yourself. Don't go into it with the idea that it's going to be some miracle cure if there are underlying psych issues - it might, it might not, but it's better to err on the side of the conservative where such are concerned, and be pleasantly surprised if it turns out that it is, rather than disappointed if it isn't.
