I don't "refuse to settle", but it does pay to know what you will settle for and what you won't. Everyone who is in a LTR, whether vanilla or D/s, settles to a degree. No one is a perfect fit, some are better than others. But if you are so terribly shallow as to base the "settling" standard strictly on physical appearance then you deserve what you get.

I need to learn to play the guitar or buy a Harley...

Ugly guitar players and ulgu Harley riders always seem to have hot chicks.

I see some NASTY looking women on the backs of Harleys, FatDomD. I play the guitar and have since I was 14. Honestly, that stops working when you're about 25 unless you're famous.

If you want really hot women, and you're shallow enough...money will do the trick. Of course, you might run out of money real fast after the 3rd or 4th divorce.

Personaly when I will not "settle" it is in the brains, emotion, and personality department.

I have dated men who look like Nordic Gods. ( Hell one fiancee was named Thor, one Lance.. and they *Looked* the part. ) but I have also dated people most would never take a second look at. My girl being one of them.

The roommate I have now is a short wee little white guy. Balding on top... but smart, funny.. and has a good heart. Not sure if anything will come out of it.. but, I would never discount someone for thier looks, height or weight. ( once I had gotten to know them) If they had everything else going for them.. and they were a good person.

The very beautiful people generaly have had the world handed to them... and tend to be awful people inside when you get to thier core in most cases ( note not all ) I can not abide stupid, mean, selfish people.

Not really, my two ex-wives were fortunate enough to have had me... They didnt settle at all, they got the absolute best until they messed up and were sent packing. As long as Im single, lucky women dont have to settle.....

I agree with Gwyn.. but I have such a lousy track record when it comes to relationships, maybe I *have* been 'settling'...

A pilot's license and a corvette is the solution for men over 25. That takes the place of the Harley / Guitar. As the saying goes - gold wings = damp panties...

As for running out of money after divorce, nawwwwww just find a lawyer and accountant who have been divorced five or six times and who still drive BMW's :) Scuba diving is great, I love scuba diving, Grand Cayman is soooooooooo pretty....
