Ok, bondage pants are NOT GOTH! Vivienne Westwood ran an S&m shop on the Kings Road in the Seventies with Malcolm McLauren- who started the Sex Pistols as a sort of political project. I don't know if the pants are completely Westwoods work or not, (her hand was all over the look, pink hair?) but they're original British punk. Look at the Sex Pistols, they wear them. So did Knick Knox of the Cramps, ect. Historically- Goth was something some people did as getting dressed to go out on Saturday night post punk and early Thatcher. For about a year. It seems to be a marketing term now. If it's in Hot Topic, it's a crap falling apart copy of something with a rich not-goth history being called such. I've been and looked. Bondage pants are very much menswear, but then the original mini skirt and torn fishnets look was the punk girl look. The easier to screw backstage at shows You can get much better quality bondage britches, but not having shopped for britpunk in many years I don't know where. My brother is a 40 something proffesional and still wears them, but his are bespoke. The body type is starving teenage heroin addict, VERY skinny! And hard to fit. If you don't know who Vivienne Westwood is- Wiki! Betsey Johnson for London. But made even more money, and more cultural influence. Wonderful things with black leather! If S&m women have a modern fashion influence, look there. About 60% of what's in that Hot Topic place is 70's punk, a big chunk of mainstream '80's, and some recent cartoon character rip offs. History is cool to know. The music was pretty fine too. Those studded bracelets? The '70's punk people wore cock straps as jewelry. Old leather ones are high quality and very useable, heh heh... Backstage st shows.
