Quick question and hopefully an easy one for both Doms and submissives. What is your favortite first task when you have someone under consideration? For me, I usually make the first task simple especially if it is an online situation. Maybe it is a posing task where I have them assume two or three poses that they feel show their submissive side. Then we critique the poses and I offer suggestions such as hand and arm position, how their hair lays across their body ect. Anyway, I hope to hear from both Doms and subs on this subject.

I never do any online anything other than contacting someone through an ad or visa versa.

Once we have exchanged emails and moved to the phone, and get to know each other it moves to meeting for a drink or such etc.

I like to take things just as I would if I were dating in the vanilla world, so my first "task" for her is way down the line.

But it would usually be something simple, as we made love etc. (like telling her to kneel and suck etc, or "clean my cock" after sex)

But this is all after a trusting relationship based on understanding who we both are has been developed.

I guess I don't worry to much about what my first "task" is going to be, it will come naturally to me and her as well.

Actualy "training" comes later. That is more formal of course.

I agree with Wolfinside. I never do online scenes. Afrter we have met and talked I would probably 'rask' her with writing me a letter explaining what she expects to get out of a relationship with me and what she expects from me in return. This opens the door to discussions on goals, experience and limits, both hard and soft.

I admit, I never got the point of 'tasks' in this sense.

My partners have me do what they need me to do or what they would enjoy me doing. I've never been with someone who manufactured stuff for me to do to "proove myself." It's always been more about being useful and getting things that need/want to get done done.

So my first tasks? Doing what they say, when they say it.

I have been in an online relationship for the last 6 months. I have gotten task, but most of them have been fun and just to keep me busy. Like once I had to orgasm 10 times in 10 different ways for one day and write up how I did it each time and send it to him. I really liked that one! I have been given task on things to look up and read. Task to journal my thoughts and send that to him. He sent me a book on submission and I had to read a chapter a day and then send him my insights on how I saw my own submission in the story. I have been shown different positions he likes and am task to spend a few mintues everyday learning them. I have been sent high heels and task to learn to walk in the suckers. Lots of stuff and all mostly to pass the time or prepare me for when he comes to collect me.

I make them write essays. In fact, I've done this twice in the last week with potential slaves.

I want to know what slavery means to them, what being MY slave means to them, what their needs and wants are and why they think these things are needs or wants, what expectations they have of their owner, what obedience means to them, what "service with honor" means to them... and the list goes on. I've found it's a much better way of getting inside someone's head than face-to-face conversation could ever be, and it's helped me weed out a few nevergonnabe's.

I have them write something for me as well, about their talents, experience, and what they would consider their ideal position, plus some requested personal information, all with a specific word count. Can't get the English teacher out of the girl. lol The word count is important to evidence attention to detail.

But actually I don't consider this a "favorite first task when you have someone under consideration." It's merely my way to get some basic information. I don't decide if someone has even the possibilty of coming under my consideration until after I meet them.

I'm not going to reiterate my collar system for mysef and House Iron Bear, however, one of the first tasks I give, is to learn how to and then make me coffee. Followed by a stint at the kitchen sink.

My 1st task ever. my Dom and i always loved to laugh and joke around. One day sitting in a chat room with a couple of friends, ( we were all real time friends not just online)a sub friend of mine (fyre) was telling us about how she had done some thing wrong ( a silly thing) but got punished for it. i started to laugh. She typed back a sad smile and said it wasnt funny. my Dom then popped up and said i shouldnt laugh and that he wanted me to write down 20 reasons not to laugh at fyre.
Well later as i sat there thinking about this list of 20 reasons all that came to mind was David Lettermans Top 10 Reasons. So i wrote it up that way starting at number 20 and ending with the Number 1 reason. After he recived my paper He laughed his butt off and then sent to all our friends to read. It was really very good. We all enjoyed it.

In cyber my first task would be to have s perform written work. to confirm s's desire to be under my Dominion.

R/l first task would be to strip, and THEN perform same written task as above.

I don't do "cyber".

That said, I have done "remote". I met a girl online a few years back who lived in Kansas. We were talking online, phone, etc. and decided there was a great deal of interest. We also became good friends.

Well, I arranged to fly up and meet; and somewhere right after that was arranged, she decided that I was who she really wanted to sub to and offered. Despite having not been face-to-face, I accepted. There was a lot, practically, to do; the same things I would do with an existing slave who was remote (say, because I or she was out of town). So I did indeed.

I don't recall her first tasks honestly, but they would have invloved simply bringing me up to date on everythign about her (our mutual interest was "total control"), keeping me apprised of her whereabouts, involving me in her decisions, etc .

I certainly remember her first tasks when I got up to KS.. but that's a private story :)
