why do so called domme or dom ask for a tribute when this is nothing more than a scam

Ima guess that there are two reasons (since I dont request tribute, guessing is all I can do) 1. they are trying to scam you 2. they arent trying to scam you I imagine that with option 2, it is a way to see if you are serious, or to ascertain thier power over you or some such... again, im just guessing here, so I could be off base... However, after muddling through your post I seem to gather that you already decided its option 1... so I have to ask, is this an honest question? or are you just complaining that something you didnt like happened to you?

Some demand tribute because they are fed up with subs and slaves making an appointment to meet and not showing up. Receiving a tribute at least compensates them for their time should that be the case. Some even return the tribute when the sub or slave arrives at the arranged meeting.

a scam by any other name: to show sincerity one or both parties have a finacial domination kink to create insentive to honor the time of the domme to make the domme take notice, a gift given with thought and care, (not just price) helps a sub stand out in a crowd to give the sub somthing to think about and ponder and connect to the heart of the person he trully wishes to serve to honor the sacredness of service to make the dommes day its so easy to make a judgement of another persons style of play....but all it does is limit you and box you in......[;)]

Why do people post on these boards asking rhetorical questions as an attempt to validate their assumptions about what other people do, even if it doesn't concern them?

I just went to the grocery store. I'm in a good mood, so I decided to treat myself, and I got three fistfuls of organic kumquats. But you know what? Those scammers wanted to charge me FIVE DOLLARS AND NINETEEN CENTS for three fistfuls of organic kumquats. What lame-ohs. I thought the whole idea behind organic food was to be good to the planet and to give people healthy options at the same time. I told them they should give me the kumquats for free, because it was more in the spirit of the organic food lifestyle. But the scumbags wouldn't do it. And... here's the sad part... I'm a weak male, and I gave in to my desires. I paid for the organic kumquats anyway. So here I sit, typing this post, tart juice dripping down my chin.
