Master answered the sub vs. slave issue for me a long time ago.
Simply put to its brass tacks...
He defined it as "who decides the limits"...
a sub defines the limits of willingness to do certain things, whereas...
a slave trusts the Master/Mistress to define (or possibly expand) the limits.

Just one more possibility...

I'm a 49 yo. married woman and had never thought of straying, but about a 3 mo. ago, out of curiosity, I joined this site, and became very interested in being a slave or sub. I think you should go ahead and do whatever he tells you to do. You'll be his ho and he'll probably start pimping you out, but hey, it feels great and you can't control yourself, right?

If you have any doubts as to where your goals are, I think it's better to call yourself a sub, no matter how deep your desire to submit may be. There's always time for things to evolve to slavehood if it sems right. Once committed as a 'slave,' you most likely won't be able to retreat to sub status with most masters if you find that you can't handle the demand.

You are lucky to have found someone so exciting. I am trying to discover if I am a submissive or a slave and am thinking that I am a slave. This is something that would be very hard for me to do. Public humiliation is one thing that I have not been exposed to, although it has been a fantasy. Reading your description makes me want to be more adventurous. Thank you!!

Well, to be perfectly honest, my Master doesn't control my mind, my heart OR my soul. He has control of my life, my actions and my body.

With the best will in the world he can't MAKE me love him, he can't own my *soul*( whatever that may be) nor control my thoughts. In my relationship he can make me OBEY and he can make me WANT to obey (not always by pleasant means) and that's pretty much all that's required.

Realistically, I think what I think, I love who I love, I feel what I feel......he can help direct and influence that , but they aren't *controllable* parts of me.

Being a slave can be as simple as choosing someone else to be in control of you and your decisions, in entirety. You don't HAVE to have a submissive nature to do this.

I respect the decision that I made and respect him. I don't like being controlled but I'm fully able to recognise that my life is infinitely better for it. It's a dichotomy that I live with and one he understands and one I accept. It was a practical choice.
