I hate people......woman who sits next to me came to work sick last Sunday, and I've been suffering all week because of it. I just made a pot of chili I can't taste, my nose is running like the freaking Niagara, I have a headache that won't quit, and I'm losing my voice. I couldn't stay home because I'm in a training class for a new contract at my job, and you can't miss any of it, so I didn't sit near anyone, and had my sanitizer with me. Wiped down everything I touched, even the computer keyboards and mice.....mouses? [X(] I did call off the other job, I had time on the books, but even so, I had to use my hard earned time because some dumb bitch couldn't??????? We only get like 3 hours a pay period, I had 6 months worth of time that I blew in 2.5 days. If I knew I wouldn't get sick again, I'd lick her damn mouse once she's better. (BEHAVE, dammit!) Shit....I hate stupid people...inconsiderate people.....and when I'm sick, you don't want me to get too cranky! Things get reeeeeaaaaaallllllllleeeeeeeeeee UGLY! I did the chicken soup thing while I could taste food....it helped, but not for long. And I ran out of Cold-eeze lozenges, so that didn't help. I was feeling better til then! Those things are great! Really.....I know they are just zinc, but dayum......they work like a charm!

ooooohhhhhhh, yes....those will do nicely! I hope they are all filled with the really sticky nasty green goo! Altho, if I don't feel any better tomorrow, I'm staying home again.....I'm afraid of losing my voice tho.....it's hard to talk to people on the phone without one! Right now, I'm all dizzy and feverish again......it's like I feel better one day and relapse the next....WTF????? I wish that I wouldn't get the whole sinus thing working, but everytime I get sick, that's where it gravitates to. My head feels like it weighs 50 pounds right now.......I wish I could just lop it off and put it in the corner til I feel better!

That green go is soooooo nasty that I'll take a barrel of Gunk to get it off!!! What you've got sounds like an honest to god flu, or a wicked cold from hell. One like that made the rounds last year and holy shit, folks had it for a few weeks.

That should help. I know that I have had a head cold for over a month that will just not go away completely.

Sudafed 12 hour extended release. Sign for type. They're amazing. More decongestant in them than in the Advil Cold & Sinus. Take plain Advil separately. Back in November when everybody was sick, they were selling out and I had to go to three different pharmacies to find them. The pharmacy technicians cold med of choice.

Greetings from the cold front here, too, though not as bad as s2s and I hope it wont get that bad, as after all, I had one of those in 2010[>:] I came home today after 3 days live-in work at work and on second morning at work...the morning where work starts lovely at 9am and not at shite 5.30am... I had to get up 3 times from 2am onwards as my sore throat was killing me... I get the impression I had it in my gut feeling 2 weeks ago, that I had to buy the sage+honey tea for work...and yep...I drank 15 out of 20 portions from that one to be able to cope with that nasty pain...though later I added other painmeds to it[>:] Now my throat feels better but my sinuses opened their flood-gates[:'(]

Celeste, I found the sudafed 12 hour stuff years ago....and the stuff I had in the med chest expired in 06, but I was to icky to go the walgreens, so I took it anyway....the stuff worked GRRRRREAT! Even expired, it still kicked the crap outta my congestion. And the Dollar Tree has a sudafed free decongestion that actually works pretty good too...little red pills, no sleepy to go with it. I did get a bottle of that Delsym stuff...grape flavored or not, it was GROSS....and I swear to god, made me hallucinate at work. I could've sworn one of the girls was standing right next to me talking, but when I looked at her, she was in her chair with her ears on typing away. And it's hard to type when your hands are all swirly and stuff! About knocked me out....won't be taking THAT stuff anymore! No way, no how! I wanted something to suppress my cough because I tear up my vocal chords so easily now after the run I had in '96 with the flu....the REAL flu. This is just some sort of sinus thing....other than my head and eyeballs, I'm not achy.....just stuffed up and miserable from the shoulders up. I wish I could've tasted the bowl of chili I just ate! [>:] But anyway, Toby finally showed up for his dinner, so it's off to bed for me. I get to sleep in an hour later tomorrow!! WOOTLES!
