Many people scoff at the idea of a slave heart as much as they scorn the ‘one twue way’ of being in this life.

I scoff at the same way I scoff at True Lifestyler, Master Bob, slave cindy, GrandMaster Mikey, X number of years of experience, gifts of submission, and levels of M/S.

It makes it all seem less about human sexuality and relationships and more about a kinky verision of a D&D Fantasy Game [:D]

*chuckles* I agree with what Rabbit said. Even I find meaning in some of the terms, I find slave heart, slave belly, altering the basic rules of grammar, gift of submission, claiming you OMG NEED to submit to be poetic terms such as "Two hearts beating as one". They have their place and their value but really shouldn't be taken too seriously. My heart isn't really beating in time with Valyraen's, but it sure can feel that way sometimes.

GS, when did you first recognize you had a "slave heart" and not just a submissive one?

Oh please.  "Slave hearts" are a dime a dozen.  Now, a "slave spleen" is something truly special.

I had a "submissive engine" in my SUV, but last week, I did an overhaul and replaced it with a "slave engine". More miles to the gallon, better fuel economy, it just made sense, you know....

Valyraen keeps talking about setting my computer to "slave". [:D]

MadRabbit -> RE: Natural Slavery (6/4/2008 4:25:08 PM)

Well, you can't have a computer set to Master.

What would all the other slaves say at the local munch?

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Natural Slavery (6/4/2008 5:43:13 PM)

I find the terms "natural submissive" and "slave heart" to both be vapid, empty and only used to make someone feel all gooshy inside, and almost as often to try and make someone else feel bad.

SirKaton -> RE: Natural Slavery (6/4/2008 6:32:16 PM)

Interesting comments one and all. I may not necessarily agree with all that has been shared, it IS food for thought to all those that have been posting and lurking.

Hello SirKaton, a new twist on a very popular topic here.
I agree with you, and I also feel that there are some people who are more
inclined to have a slave "heart", than others.
This could be due to their personality, the way they were raised, and some that have the need to
please in their core fiber.
Since so many scoff at the idea that people with "slave hearts" actually exist, on the same
token....that must mean that "Dominant hearts" don't exist either.

Isn't it funny how rare we ever question if someone can have a Dominant heart, yet we can't accept that some people really DO have a heart for being a slave?

pot, kettle, black
I hope to see more posts from you.

kinkypuppy2 -> RE: Natural Slavery (6/4/2008 6:57:32 PM)

Yes but hard to find.

Hard to find, so true.
Worth the wait? so true also!

Rest assured that if I ever heard someone use that term in a manner that wasn't obviously a joke,  it would recieve the same treatment as the insipid "slave heart".

That's pretty off the mark there, MizMia.

I don't see anyone scoffing at people who have an internal purpose and desire to serve another person.

I see people scoffing at a hollow phrase that really has no other purpose then to mark people as having some special essence to themselves that other people don't have that borders on the romantic and mystical and has no serious place in a discussion on relationships and sexuality.

I can't say I enjoy watching intellectual discourse being turned into something on par with a fairy tale and rarely ever find much insight or understanding when this mystical metaphysical hogwash is thrown around.

For some reason this kind of poetic absurdity is taken seriously and encouraged in BDSM when in other contexts of life, it would be quite an abstraction.

If you went your (hypothetical) job at the local Internal Revenue Service and began a discussion on what drives people to become an accountant, wouldn't it see a bit of out of place and a bit ludicrous if Bob from Cubicle 3 were to join in, professing how he has the "heart of an accountant"?

Passion is passion and one's person's passion for something is no different than the other's simply because it has been bestowed with a fantasical label on par with the "warrior's soul" of Conan the Barbarian.

It was an epiphany of sorts to make that distinction-both women respond in these roles as naturally as they breathe, so I ask others in their experiences, does anyone else feel that such a thing as "natural slavery" exists?

mmmmm it would seem like an epiphany... but I would say it is more an illusion.  You are taking your narrow perspective and using it to make some universal idea.

I do no doubt that both woman respond to you very naturally... but the key word is respond to you..... I suspect they might not respond so naturally to me or many others.  Just as I know that my two girls respond very naturally with me, I know they would be so natural with you or many others.

Only one key can unlock a specific door.. and there are many keys and doors in this world.  People are little more complicated than a key and door.  But, when the right two people come together it becomes rather effortless.  I have been blessed to have this experience with my two girls.   But, I also know when the match is not so go.. that alot of effort will occur to keep the relationship going and looks far from natural.  Most times such a relationship will die as result... for in my opinion... in our intimate relationship we don't actually enjoy feeling burdened to maintain a relationship.

Another point.. just because a girl comes to me and I don't percieve her as a match for me... says nothing to her ability to have a successful M/s relationship with another.  In fact, It has been my experience that even though a person is not a natural fit for me they will be a natural fit for another.  I have seen many individuals leave a relationship that was a proper fit and go on to find that natural fitting relationship.

I actually think that Natural Slaves.. Natural Masters...etc to be a rather pointless descriptor and says nothing of importance but people most often use it to elevate their egos.

Who we are is a combination of Nuture and Nature  what part is Nuture and what part is Nature is not really relevant with regards to a relationship.  What matters to have that "Natural" fit relationship is finding the right match to have that relationship.

MzMia -> RE: Natural Slavery (6/4/2008 8:11:48 PM)

I asked a relative question, I thought.

Why do so many believe there is no such thing as a submissive heart, but

you never here anyone question a Dominant heart?

Why not just answer the question?

I personally DO believe that some people have a "submissive heart" and some people have a
"Dominant heart", and it is just not a big deal.
As KOM just stated some people are "natural slaves" and others are "natural Dominants".

What is the problem here?

The fact that people get their panties in a bunch over it, is what is interesting.
To each their own, right?

I beleive I did even though I fail to see what the question has to do with anything.

You can find a "slave heart" between "siren" and "sorcerer" and if Master's feel the need to coin a new phrase to make their passion for their dynamic seem a lot better than a Dominant's passion for their dynamic, then you will be able to find that term between "magician" and "mystic"

Isn't it great that we can express ourselves here?

I beleive people have passion for a whole host of different things. I just find the phrase to be rather comical (in addition, to hollow) just like I find the phrase "heart of an accountant" to be comical.

I must have missed where he said that. Could you point it out to me as well as where the problem is?

I wasn't aware thats what we were doing. I thought we were having a discussion on what exactly is natural slavery and submission and not making proclamations of possessing the divine.
