It's got me this far just to work out what pimping means in this context. Ah the joys of a message board which spans the Atlantic.

Okay, you asked, remember?

It's hard for me to read pink, purple, or other colors like that.  It's hard for me to read centered text (that is actually almost criminal).  Italicized text is okay, but dark has that one sewn up and if I saw anybody else using it, I'd be all confused.

So I prefer to go with the standard Times Roman, left justified, normal kerning with 6 points of space between paragraphs, as research has shown that is what is easiest to read, because to me, that's the whole point.

Cali

Odd that you should mention these things.  i have a friend who -- at least used to -- center and italisize all T/their posts, and i really liked it.  i could scroll down a page of stuff and find this member's posts easily...and they were very worthwhile reading to me.

As you might have noticed, i changed my font color...to dark purple...to accomodate some members who emailedme and told me of vision problems they were having with the pink color.

Seems you almost 'insist' on the default settings for posts.  What, by chance, do you rely on for yr assertion that 'this is the easiest to read'?  i'm not aware of anthing of the kind.

i used to litigate insurance company bad behavior.  There were strict reglations in place to assure that their materials were readable to policyholders and others.  The size, font and color you seem to think is so important was not the size, color, or font in those regulations.

i cannot help but wonder if you are covertly arguing that no member should use any of the functions CollarMe provides to alter the look of a post.  That may be what you choose to do.  What would give you any right to dictate to other members what they do?

Choosing a pink font cancels the ability to use the icons.  And other things, real words and all.

Hummm..there's definately a hostile tone to yr posts to me.

Might i suggest you get a --well -- a life -- in which such things as mesage board post appearances don't rile you quite so much?

What on earth do you do in real life when you are annoyed?

Odd fonts and huge letters are a waste of the bandwidth in an already overloaded server.

It's not how you dress it up..It's the quality of your content.

OP; if you do read this you should realize that *most* here don't read your posts due to a couple of reasons:

1. They are difficult to decipher. (in other words, the font, the extremely annoying slashy speak, and the colour are grating)

2. You are a prolific thread starter.

Now, many people do this at the beginning of their time here. It's (imnsho), partly the excitement of being in a community where you are free to be yourself, and partly a way of saying "look at me!" Were I you instead of arguing with those who took their time to answer you honestly, I'd take what was said into consideration...

Always "impressed" by arguments in which P/pl claim that an unidentified group stands behind T/their position.  Can't you speak for yrself without some unsubstantiated claim to know what all O/other members might be doing?

Actually, i've been quite pleaantly surprised at the responses most of my Ops have gotten.

i have been here for some time.  Been 'deranged' more than once.  i grow bored with my nick s'times and make a new profile, under a new nick, so i may appear --incorrectly -- to be a new member.

Believe me i'm well past any excitment i may once have felt at the discovery of the fun of a message board. (Dun actually remember ever feeling giddy about it.)

i used to viisit here almost daily, quite awhile ago, and then, for whatever reason, kinda lost interest in the boards and eventually stopped coming altogether.  That has happened a few times.  This last hiatus i was not online at all for some months.

i write; i play with my 'myspace' page; i email my F/friends cool e-cards; etc.  And i come here...and s'times i start Ops.

i also clean my house, pay my bills, make meals, talk to P/pl on the phone, stay in touch with my family, plan my brother's birhday party, and, well, you get the idea.

i'm sorry if this sounds rude, but i dun care whether you read my posts.  i don't remember ever seeing yr nick here before. It'd take me awhile to get any kind of feel for your posting style...and if in the meantime you decide to use the 'hide' button, please dun think yr s'how 'hurting my feelings'.  i just dun have any in yr case.

i think the boards should be informative, stimulating, silly, and always enjoyable.  If you happen to have a different opinion about what purpose the boards serve, yr welcome to it.

Peace out.

I hide the posts of people that use illegible font from my sight. That I have not done the same to your posts - yet - is because they have barely legible font, though I do wish for sunglasses and earplugs when reading your posts. Usually I postpone hiding such reader violating posts until the final drop does overflow my bucket of tolerance. It does not help that you post a lot, as the high frequency of posts does wear me down faster.

i've run out of things to say on any of the subjects raised in any of the posts here.  Frankly, i'm kinda surprised there was this much.

i'm still surprised at how animated some P/pl managed to get over a small, silly matter.

Don't any of Y/you ever post to General BDSM or Off-Topics?  Doesn't politics or the environment or s'thing like that move Y/you to this level of animation in yr posting?

P/pl still surprise me s'times.

I can and will, thanks. Speaking only for my newb self: the combination of light colour, HUGE letters, random slashspeak, and intentional misspellings makes reading your posts a pain in the nether regions. The purpose of a message board is to exchange thoughts and ideas with others, hence the reason that content is the only thing that matters. If  you want to make your posts "unique" this way, have at it; just don't be surprised when the "fluff" you seem to need results in people ignoring what you actually have to say.

You may not care if blushes reads your posts but their sheer number indicates that you intend for someone to read them. That being the case, wouldn't it be preferable to post in a style that encourages people to look inside the box rather than concentrate on the wrapping? Just sayin.

I REALLY DON'T LIKE THIS THREAD. IT MADE MY EYES WATER AND  MADE ME PUKE A LITTLE IN MY MOUTH.

Speaking of puking... there was this one time in the shower... wait....  wrong thread.

uh uh, You can't just say something like that then not keep going.  i am a very curious kat You know.
Please Sir, do tell. (if i could have found a begging smiley, it would be here)

I was referring my comments in these replies from the Dear Cali thread.

Some sadists love life most when it's 'not pretty'.  I shall not recount the stroies of my encounters with nausea but rather just say, it enhances the illusion of nonconsensuality like pissing yourself in fear, tears and crying do.

I did not tell the story about the 3 kinds of partially digested shrimp that lay on my shower floor in a puddle of wine as she kneeled in it and I made her finish what she started.  God.. I miss amiee on days like this.

aimee was the one kneeling in predigested shrimp & wine ... it was a 2 year long livein affair, she puked on me more than a few dozen times (at least once a month)... it sorta' became a sign of her dedication to me when she finished what she started even if she barfed.

Always "impressed" by arguments in which P/pl claim that an unidentified group stands behind T/their position.  Can't you speak for yrself without some unsubstantiated claim to know what all O/other members might be doing?  That 'group' of which you attempt to speak has identified themselves quite well over the last several days. I *have* attempted to nicely let you know why you’ve been getting flack. You choose not to listen to it…I am now choosing not to read any more of your garbage.

Actually, i've been quite pleaantly surprised at the responses most of my Ops have gotten.  Shocking. (insert eye-roll here)

Been 'deranged' more than once. Again, shocking.

i'm sorry if this sounds rude, but i dun care whether you read my posts.  i don't remember ever seeing yr nick here before. Sheesh…three years of posting down the drain…

It'd take me awhile to get any kind of feel for your posting style...and if in the meantime you decide to use the 'hide' button, please dun think yr s'how 'hurting my feelings'.  i just dun have any in yr case. Please speak ENGLISH.

Peace out.

Yanno, you are a lot like a couple other posters we’ve had around here. They ask what people think, ignore kind advice they’ve been given, and on top of that insult the people who went out of their way, time and again to help them.
I am done.

I can speak for myself and since you asked...yes the pink was very hard to read. The purple is a little better.

As to the slash speak, it's annoying and yes I usually skip over posts that use it a lot. Maybe if you didn't waste time hitting all those extra letters and slashes, you could spell out words like 'your' and 'people'...just a thought.

Well she did ask for reactions and opinions.

Of course I can't find the post now, because I was reading this in the middle of the night during an insomnia moment but I swear she said she had been on CM for quite some time under several different nicks. That makes me wonder why she is unaware of the reaction towards giant bright pink fonts and why she says she is unused to the style of certain posters.
But as I said.. I don't remember which thread she said that in because there are sooooo many going on about her fonts, slashiness and chat speak lol.
So it is quite possible I am wrong about her having gone through a bunch of nicks here.

to the op.....

im not in a clique, hell most of the time i just type to my self on here to pass some time.  and im good with that-lol.

but your font, method of typing, slashy speak, constant thread starting, etc, had me believing i would see a kid when i clicked your profile.  i was amazed to see what appeared to be a mature woman.

of course, thats my opinion only.....i have no idea if anyone else felt this way.

if you dont care what others think, fine.... be your self and enjoy it......but if you didnt care, you wouldnt be starting all these threads and changing your font and and and

gawd   i think its hopeless to even try
