pinksugarsub -> Clinton to concede Defeat (6/4/2008 9:19:35 PM)

Under pressure from Democratic leaders to step aside, a campaign official said Wednesday evening that she (Clinton) has decided to end her candidacy now that Obama has more than enough delegates to win the long primary race. She scheduled her announcement for Saturday.

Apparently Obama has said publically that he would consider Clinton for his vice presidential running mate.  i think this is exceptionally gracious of him, considering Clinton has so far refused to endorse Obama's campaign.

Sorry for the double post, but it seemed appropriate for this occassion.

Nothing has given me greater pleasure in a long time than Clinton's concession.  Thank Gawd there's no chance of  having that evil, evil bytch running the federal government.

Okay, just had to say it....remember, it's JMO.

No chance?

I think it is exceptionally "I want to be elected" of him

Last I checked, she already ran the federal government for eight years.

As for Hillary becoming Vice President, she'd do it for the party. For some reason, so many want to see a Democrat in the White House. After having so many Democrats and Republicans in the white house, you'd think America might start to be getting tired of these two parties.

i doubt there will ever be a viable third part candidate for national office; certainly not going to be one here in Ohio.  Without "the political machine" it's just not possible to get elected, Jessie Ventura notwithstanding.

Then perhaps it's time to build a new machine.

I have to go back and read the article but the teaser's mentioned Billary trying to decide whether or not to "keep her delegates."  What kind of crap is that?

pinksugarsub -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/5/2008 12:07:08 AM)

i'll feel MUCH better when she's actually made the concession speech.  i don't trust her one little bit; i think she's spending all her time now trying to think of SOME way to be the Democratic candidate, despite Obama's lead.

And i look for her to "organise" a disruption at the Democratic Convention, with her followers protesting her non-election.

She is just an untrustworthy bytch IMO.

VIVA REVOLICION!

Alumbrado -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/5/2008 2:10:39 AM)

She isn't releasing her delegates, and Obama is supposed to pay off her campaign debt.... and Fleetwood Mac is still holding rehearsals.

Hmmmmm   ... says something about a lack of character on her part.

sub4hire -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/5/2008 3:04:03 PM)

She should have dropped out a while ago.  Yet if I were in the same situation...I doubt I would.  Although at the same time she was very annoying about the whole thing.
Did I contradict myself enough?  I did not want another Clinton in the White House.  I can't see Obama ever choosing her as a running mate, even though it probably would save him.  Unfortunately she won more of the popular vote than he did.

I say cross party lines and run with Condoleeza Rice.

And who is a trustworthy politician?

cyberdude611 -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/5/2008 9:38:42 PM)

I think it is a major mistake for Obama to take Hillary as the VP. She's going to screw up his message of "Change."

Obama has been preaching the past year that the past 20 years has been met with partisanship that has ruined and divided the country. Well...those 20 years includes the Clintons. Plus how is Obama going to function with Bill being around?

I just think this is like one of those marriages that end up being annuled the next day when the hangover wears off.

As long as Obama keeps his hair short and doesn't wear any blue dresses I don't think Bill will bother him much

I would never bet on that.

MissSCD -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/6/2008 7:42:01 AM)

How is Obama going to function with Bill around?  Easy.  This is the dream ticket.  McCain does not have a chance in hell now.
Maybe, we can get this country away from this war which is draining resources for all.  I am not against the troops.  I will always stand by our military, but they are being used to take them to their own death.
Youngers, ever hear the song, "War Pigs"?  I finally listened to the words that song says.  Listen to it or read it.  It is all about the Vietnam war, and it relates to this one.

War Pigs are the government controlling it.

Regards, MissSCD

Aynne -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/6/2008 8:04:12 AM)

War Pigs is one of the best anti war songs ever.

I hope Hillary jacks this nomination in some kind of underhanded sneaky Clinton way and rides it all the way to the presidency. I could not care less is she is as the OP said a vindictive bitch ( yeah, I can't do the M/me, bytch thing..lol ) She is the best and most qualified of the three to be the potus. Obama will get my vote though if I must because voting for McCain? Wow, no, I was born with an actual working brain.[;)]

kittinSol -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/6/2008 8:07:28 AM)

Fries is too frail to carry out the duties of a president, and well, we don't want another inadequate ruling 'the free world' (god that expression... is priceless [:D]).

Obama and Clinton: venceremos.
