WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Annoying Acronyms (6/5/2008 7:51:51 PM)

I've found that things I enjoy reading, or gain the most from, are posts that have been written without a lot of things to distract from the point being made. If I spend half my time translating the acronyms, text-speak and slashes - then I usually don't bother, and scroll down to a post that isn't so problematic. It isn't that I have any personal distaste for the individual. I just opt not to struggle throught their posts. I'm sure that many here, feel the same. It isn't a personal slight against anyone - we just like what we like. Now, when someone tosses out an acronym I don't know, I hardly consider myself left out. I see it as a chance to open communication with that person, and ask them what it means. I've found that the simplest things can be a welcome mat at the door of communication, and sometimes the most amazing people are on the other side.
