Strange logic if no one is an authority on heaven how can anyone believe in it?

Someone on earth must have come up with the initial idea and if that person wasn't an authority then that's what I've been saying all along.

Nah, we are still chatting hell.

If we can imagine HELL, many of us can imagine HEAVEN.

I tend to prefer thinking about the latter.

This is too existential for me.....but in the spirit of playing along here goes    1)still being married to my ex 2) not being able to talk or see my son on a regular basis 3) never hearing from any of the lovely Dommes of CollarMe

Hell

- a world where I'm still married to my ex husfreak and both my idiot brother and our control freak grandmother live in the same house with us as well.
- a world where it was illegal to practice my religion or lack thereof by personal preference; or even where I'm simply forced to put up with pound-n-thumper fundies on a daily basis
- a world where Godiva was outlawed, and only "healthy" food was allowed on the menu; where water is the only option to drink and my morning coffee is only a fading memory
- a world where I could no longer fly, sing, dance, write, or paint
- a world where I'm forced to watch  "reality" tv, and the only music choice on the radio is Rap

No slaves, no chocolate, no kolaches, and no beer.

That would be Hell on earth.

In another post, someone described a circumstance as their version of Hell.  It piqued my curiousity.

In my Hell...

...stupidity is fashionable.

...there are no books, no games, no soap bubbles.

...hugs aren't permitted.

Or worse yet sleeping at Richard Simmons house to wake up to this weird dream about giving birth to a cucumber...

Or <GASP> Booking a vacation at a nudist colony only to find that Rosie O'Donnel was there that week....

Actually, it is whatever each of us CHOSES to believe it is.

I don't think anyone on earth is an authority on heaven or hell.

Unless of course, you created the universe.

That goes without saying.

Except that of course, I am THE authority when it comes to my idea of heaven or hell.

Yours? It's entirely your business. I wouldn't even think to interfere there. Good heavens.

As for the Universe... everybody knows it created itself, out of chaos :-) .

Pomme poirée, et bonne nuit.

I love the term "Good heavens" also.

As always, to each their own.

Viva la difference!

**Funny, you never hear the term "Bad Heavens".**

I wonder why?

Heaven would be to actually find out the real answers to the 87 questions that i have for God, and God taking the time to answer them and to make sure that i understand.

Hell would be having God answer, "Because I wanted to." or, "Oh, I was having a bad day that day." or "What did you expect?"

I have actually always had this really perverse twisted thought in the back of my mind about Heaven...I always thought about the thumpers leading this totally pious life.... Only to arrive at the Pearly gates and to find a giant party going on that was like the Tailhook Convention... Then Jesus would be like Oh man, Moses was such a dork I never said any of that shit! Dude, I made wine out of water - think about it!!!
