Status: offline 		OP i understand what you are saying, and i hope i touch on what your points were, but this is how it touched me and how i can relate to waht you said:  i have things i love about my body and things i hate....the things i hate seem to have a stronger hold on me than the ones i love.  i got adopted into a family that was/is so focused on being physically perfect that i was never good enough, i was different than they were physically.  after i had my kids, my husband criticized me for my "mom tummy" that never went away and won't ever go away without surgery. 

right now i'm trying to "un learn" all these negative ways of thinking about myself and it's a hard road i'll tell you.  my Sir has been wonderful in helping me do this, but i can only do it for myself...nobody can do it for me.  i'll get there...unlearning 30 years of negative thinking doesnt' happen overnight but it most definitely can be done.  like the saying goes, "one step at a time."

Ladies, do us and yourselves a favour, strip and go stand in front of a mirror, take a bloody good look, turn around and pick all of your percieved faults out. Once you've done that come back and write down "it doesn't matter, this is me and I love me". No matter what you think may be a fault, we see worse, we see better, we don't compare a lover to anyone but who we want. A look of need far outweighs a saggy boob, that lip chewed in anticipation is all we see, the tears of pain and joy wash all others from our minds. Its not your shape, your hair colour, not even the size of your breasts, it is you being a woman we find attractive, no matter what sort of woman you are ........

You know it's funny too, the things I tend to key in on. Like in this instance for example. I keyed in on the jiggling when there are things about my body that I like far less. Due to my recent surgeries I am left with a tummy that looks like I should be Frankenstein's bride. Certainly that is much more noticeable than an ass that jiggles when you hit it. I generally do love myself and all my imperfections are just a roadmap of the history of me. The mind is a funny thing sometimes and all of these little things that pop up in my head are insignificant....except for in the moment.

Slightly harsh KnightofMists and I pose this question in response, is it vanity to want to be good enough? Many people's body image issues are linked to their feelings of self worth, is it possible there are lots of people with old insecurities they have yet to conquer, rather than vain (your spelling is that of a weather vane rather than a personality trait) people posting in this thread?

Status: offline 		Stus, while I know that's true for a majority of women, it's really not for me.  I've always been pretty comfy with my body and being naked.  The fact that I DO still have flashes of insecurity and silly thoughts is the interesting part because I hardly notice any other time.

Status: offline 		Master has always made me feel beautiful and sexy. i dont think i've worried about the cellulite or the curves on my body. He has made it known i'm exactly what He needs and wants. He loves the messy hair and the ruined makeup. and so do i. i feel slutty and desired . ummmm... missing Daddy now.

id never actually thought about my bum jiggling until my master said he was looking forward to making it jiggle next wednesday - ive been prodding at it these past two days to see how much it jiggled and it jiggles alot - i was starting to worry, but i see im in good company and that jiggling is part of the fun... oh and looking messed up and all the other bits that jiggle and riding on top with my breasts all akimbo... oh god! - 'this is me and i love me, this is me and i love me.....'

I can understand what you're talking about that. But there really isn't much you can do about those kinda things like that. Like personally I think I'm too thin. But other's are like no you're great!

My most recent self-conscious moment was when I was on a wobble board and he and Alandra were both beating the hell out of me.  I had some awkward stances and I know I had to look really silly and then I could hear someone giggling in the room... talk about self-conscious.  The moment passed with the smack of the BBQ grill brush.  Once the blood started flowing, looking silly was the last thing on my mind.

Later I found out that the person was giggling because I had just called him "bitch".  I was blind folded and didn't know who was using what.  I was calling her a prick and him a bitch half the time  *eg*

im going to memorise that for the future.... its catchy....  add on the tune for humpty dumpty and it really rocks!  the only problem i forsee is singing that to yourself without falling off the job from laughing too much.
