Status: offline 		does anyone know where i can get a fireman's hat? my grandfather is dying, and we're hoping we might be able to source a hat/helmet to give to my mother or her sister at the funeral.

Very true.  Local FD's are always willing to give away memorabilia, though a fire helmet give away would be a condemned one, not a newbie or one that's still operable.  Good luck!

he was a member of the mpls fire dept way back when, but he's lived in LA for the last few years. I've got rellies in both places.

Status: offline 		he's the energiser bunny. his breathing gets labored, his kidneys start shutting down, his temperature raises. then 4 hours later he's calmer and resting easy. nobody expected him to make it past his 92nd birthday. 4 weeks later..... he's still here, lol

i told mom to get a bunny and batteries and put them on his casket when he goes
