LordEuman -> Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 4:09:16 PM)

You know what really gets under My crawl? What really burns My ass like a butane tortch on a clit?

It is all those that have profiles online claiming they seek and crave this and that, and this applies to All Positions, Doms/Dommes/Switches/subs/slaves, and when you spend time to read and study the profile information and decide that you may wish to start a conversation wih them and you do so. you check back a couple days later to see it they had been read and what do you find?

Deleted Unread!!!

WTF, how do they expect to find what they "CRAVE" if they do not read the emails they get?
Now I could understand the ones that may go and look at the profile of the sender and that is fine, I am not twisted about that, but come on those that do not read the email and do not look at the profile, how do they get anywhere?
they don't, in My Humble Opinion this is a clear sign of a player and are hat makes it so damned hard to connect with anybody.

It's hard enough to connect with anyone let alon online and add to it all the ones that are here just to play silly games. I know I am rambling but I needed to vent and thought I would do so here and see it it irritates anyone else as bad as it does Me.

and trust Me I do understand that the subs/slaves get inundated with mail, but read it, if it looks like spam then delete it but if you see they have put time into the message and refer to specific things that they have read in your profile then they have genuine interest. and it is ok if youdo not feel the same. but common courtesy calls for a simple note in return that reads something like this:

" Thank Y/you for Y/your time in reading M/my profile and the message but at tis time I/i must say no thank Y/you, bu good luck in your search."

isn't this lifestyle all about giving and gettin respect? I mean in both directions until at least the collar is locked abou the neck anywhay (all depends on the parties involved and what they seek). but if you are appoached with respect hen give a lil back, subs/slaves talk to one another as do the Dominants, get real, if you are seriously looking, show respect and it will come back to you. once you do this and it does you will increase your chances of finding your O/one (or more)

But at least here on CM we can see what is happening with the messages we send. that way we know who we do and do not want to associate with.

Thanks for the place to vent My frustraions CM and to everyone thsat reads it and replies if you are so inclined

Aileen1968 -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 4:11:49 PM)

They probably had mail filters set and you fell into the bulk mail folder if you didn't fit their filter criteria.  They most likely never even saw your email, rather just deleted their entire bulk folder...unread.

Usako -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 4:12:53 PM)

It happens, it's annoying but oh well. It's not the end of the world.

I think your main problem is you think that just because this is a certain "lifestyle" or "subculture" people are going to act any better than someone on the street. People are people, whether they wear leather or cotton. And sometimes, people are just rude.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 4:16:59 PM)

Thres also the possibility that they did look at your profile (you dont get a hit if they dont open the full profile, just read it from the main search screen) and decided you werent what they wanted. Or that they have started talking with someone and deleted ALL male from a certain gender or role unread by command. Or there was a glitch.
Why let it burn you if its deleted unread? If someone cares that little about reading your email and getting back to you, are they really that big a loss that it should impact you in any way shape or form? I mean come on now, youd rather hear no than infer it? If they deleted it unread, then chalk them up as a loss and move on. No harm no foul and dont waste any more energy on them, regardless fo teh reason behind it, they decided you werent worth their time... so why make them worth yours?

No, and the sooner you let go of that notion, the happier you will be.

It doesnt matter to me even unread and deleted. Some read and still dont respond. They have had this discussion here before. When ppl get upset by this. i wont say its disrespectful. But it would be nice for ppl to say "thanks for the email, but this reason?"..hope your search goes better with undeleted unread messages.[:)]

Deleted Unread!!!

That happened to me once. Someone was sufficiently curious to read my profile subsequently to having read one of my forum posts, vehemently disagreed with the link in my profile and sent me a cm-mail to let me know, not understanding it, and when I took the bother and replied that said person did not comprehend it, my message was deleted unread. It was a rather weird reaction. Anyhow, since discourse is impossible with such a person, I suppose that I blocked that person from any further interaction with me. (I have got four blocked and thirteen hidden on the other side.)

For some, undoubtedly.

responding back sometimes leads to another message wondering why we're not interested in you to nastiness and anger in which your post is exhibiting.

and oh btw, dominants do this too - does it bother me? nope, it's too hot getting angry over nothing. there's no rule stating that everyone has to respond to every message received.

It's about everyone giving me respect.  Period.  (Thankfully it's not about giving me the respect I actually deserve.)

Keep telling yourself that, MB.  Yep yep yep.

If I say it three times and click my heels twice...

HandSolo -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 5:18:11 PM)

On an unrelated topic, I saw a FDom profile a couple days back where the introductory paragraph was something like "Stupid men get it through your head, I am looking for a girlslave! Your messages will not be read." Her profile identified her as straight. Good luck with that.

Rule -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 5:20:42 PM)

So? What is impossible about a straight domme looking for a girlslave?

SweetNika -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 5:20:49 PM)

I delete e-mails without reading them ALL the time. If someone is out of state, has nothing in their profile, doesn't have a picture or has something in their profile or interest list that I am simpl not into(such as watersports or scat). The reality is I am not obligated to respond to anyones e-mail, infact my nonresponse is my response.

Blessed be,
Nika

Real_Trouble -> RE: Deleted Unread (6/12/2008 5:56:46 PM)

I suspect I am atypical in that I read the vast majority of my mail, but I certainly don't respond to most of it.

However, I have deleted people unread for a variety of reasons:

- I didn't like their handle (usually this is something like mail from LOLIRNOOB or something)
- I had seen their profile (or looked it up) and didn't want to talk to them
- They were out of a demographic I am interested in dealing with

Overall, I have to say the mail I get is pretty well-targetted, probably because I don't use a photo and I'm pretty fucking blunt in the text I have on there.  Someone should have a pretty good sense of who I am on a first-pass level, and likewise be unable to judge me on appearance at all, so they can't be contacting me for that.

I probably get a hell of a lot less mail in general, but it saves me effort.

With all that said, don't worry about it.  If someone deletes your mail unread, let it go and walk on.  It's their loss for not wanting to deal with me (or, in this case, you), after all.

I'm sure the girls are lining up to be collared by the no-respect dom.  Whoa.

I went out on a limb and assumed the number of submissive women looking for a Mistress, searching straight women's profiles, would be negligable. I personally spend absolutely no time looking for a lesbian top, as I lack important equipment to qualify for the position.
