jlf1961 -> In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/13/2008 8:08:10 AM)

Okay, ladies, there are a few questions that many men would like to know, just why in hell did you ask us!?

I have given my answers, but I am sure other men have their own....

1) Does this outfit make me look fat?  (I always take the fifth)

2) What should I wear to dinner tonight? (how would I know, I am wearing jeans and a pocket t)

3) Do these shoes go with this skirt?  (You are asking ME about fashion, I am the guy that thinks blue jeans, dress shirt and polished Justin Ropers is formal wear!)

4) Why do you love me? (look, if you have to ask, one of us has a major problem)

5) Are you Really going to wear that in public? (yes, why do you think I put it on?)

6) (Non-baseball fan females) What is so important about the world series?  (I cant understand how anyone cannot know the importance of the world series)

Now, these are the questions I have been asked, by women.  Now, really, I have no idea what prompts these questions, and I am sure there are a few million others.

I mean, for me, the answers should be obvious, why ask me in the first place.....

In response to number 1, I've heard one of my brothers answer such:

Her: Do these jeans make me look fat?
Him: The jeans are fine. Your ass is just huge. ::goes back to reading paper::

Be careful what you ask, you may get strange answers!

I have given my answers, but I am sure other men have their own....

1) Does this outfit make me look fat?  (I always take the fifth)  No, it's not the outfit.

2) What should I wear to dinner tonight? (how would I know, I am wearing jeans and a pocket t)  As long as it won't get us thrown out it's fine.  Let's go, I'm getting hungry.

3) Do these shoes go with this skirt?  (You are asking ME about fashion, I am the guy that thinks blue jeans, dress shirt and polished Justin Ropers is formal wear!)  If you wear them both at the same time I guess they will both go whereever the other goes.

4) Why do you love me? (look, if you have to ask, one of us has a major problem)  Ya' know, since the inquisition started I've been wondering that too.   I'll get back to you on that.

5) Are you Really going to wear that in public? (yes, why do you think I put it on?)  Unless you want me to wear it into the bedroom to start the fun.

6) (Non-baseball fan females) What is so important about the world series?  (I cant understand how anyone cannot know the importance of the world series)  To you?  It means that for 4-9 days/nights you get to do whatever you want...

Now, these are the questions I have been asked, by women.  Now, really, I have no idea what prompts these questions, and I am sure there are a few million others.

I mean, for me, the answers should be obvious, why ask me in the first place.....

1) Does this outfit make me look fat?  If you have to ask then it probably does go change.

2) What should I wear to dinner tonight? I'm Leaving in 15 Mins cause I'm hungry If you aren't dressed then I guess we'll get a really good table.

3) Do these shoes go with this skirt?  How in the hell would I know? I mean Honestly andi you aren't stupid, why would you ask?

4) Why do you love me? Some times when you ask questions like that I wonder myself.

5) Are you Really going to wear that in public? Sure Why not? If you don't like it you can pick out my clothes but if I don't like it then you'll be the one wearing it out (I'm MUCH larger than she is, so she no longer complains about it)

6) (Non-baseball fan females) What is so important about the world series?  Not a Sports Fan so this doesn't apply however she does ask me how I can figure out the plots to every movie we watch 15 minuets into them. God does she hate that.

1) Does this outfit make me look fat?  (I always take the fifth) My fat arse makes me look fat. What's the fifth?

2) What should I wear to dinner tonight? (how would I know, I am wearing jeans and a pocket t) I choose what I wear and dont need a bloke opinion!

3) Do these shoes go with this skirt?  (You are asking ME about fashion, I am the guy that thinks blue jeans, dress shirt and polished Justin Ropers is formal wear!) I have impecable taste in shoes. No wait I only have one going-out pair, so they go with everything.

4) Why do you love me? (look, if you have to ask, one of us has a major problem) I've never had anyone to ask this to!

5) Are you Really going to wear that in public? (yes, why do you think I put it on?) I wear what I wear. Even if it looks scary. It usually looks scary.

6) (Non-baseball fan females) What is so important about the world series?  (I cant understand how anyone cannot know the importance of the world series) What is the World Series? Will it ever be more important than the World Cup? Is the World actually involved in the World Series, or is it an America thing?

Now, these are the questions I have been asked, by women.  Now, really, I have no idea what prompts these questions, and I am sure there are a few million others.

I mean, for me, the answers should be obvious, why ask me in the first place..... Cos we are girls, duh.

jlf1961 -> RE: In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/13/2008 12:44:22 PM)

Well considering there are some Canadian teams in the National Baseball league, it can be considered a world event.

Like the Stanley cup is to Hockey.

As for it being more important or as important as the world cup?  Well, my personal opinion is that yes, it is and always has been.

I mean the world cup is a championship for a bunch of guys that run around trying to kick a ball into a net.  I mean it isnt even a contact sport!  Baseball is a game of skill, thought, and psychological one on one combat.

And the fifth is the fifth amendment of our constitution, meaning I do not have to say anything that may incriminate myself.

Actually, wouldnt the better question be, "Did you SURVIVE being smacked upside the head by said girlfriend?"

lovewithoutfear -> RE: In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/13/2008 2:11:26 PM)

I think most women who ask these questions are "fishing" for attention and approval.  They want their man to notice and appreciate what they look like, engage them in conversation, value or validate at least some of what the women value, and pay them compliments... which most men don't past the courtship phase, and most women are not trained to ask for what they want and need so they feel they have to "fish."

jlf1961 -> RE: In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/13/2008 2:16:49 PM)

I just thought they were trying to get on our nerves, I mean, come on, how can one NOT know the importance of the World Series?

Baseball, Applepie, whips, chains and women in collars, its the american way, right?

Hey, Canadian baseball teams play for a chance in the series, so it is an international event.

As for why only humans enter the Miss Universe pagent?  Do you REALLY think that any intelligent race out there among the stars would even want to set foot on this rock?

JulieorSarah -> RE: In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/13/2008 8:10:32 PM)

some editing has been done ..

Okay, ladies, there are a few questions that many men would like to know, just why in hell did you ask us!?

I have given my answers, but I am sure other men have their own....

1) Does this (insert anything here, hair, clothes, makeup, jewellery, etc, ) make me look fat?  (I always take the fifth) ...
This is a classic no win question between the sexes, what ever the answer the male gives he's wrong (he's lying or he's insulting) and the woman is upset by the response ... girls don't ask it.

2) What should I wear to dinner tonight? (how would I know, I am wearing jeans and a pocket t)
It's the wrong question.  Where are we going to dinner tonight? and the answer should be enough, if it was a surprise, he should give you a clue, ... 5 star restaurant, Maccas, or something in between ...

3) Do these shoes go with this skirt?  (You are asking ME about fashion, I am the guy that thinks blue jeans, dress shirt and polished Justin Ropers is formal wear!)
See the answer to one.

4) Why do you love me? (look, if you have to ask, one of us has a major problem)
If you feel loved, why ask?  Just accept it, relish in it and respond to it.

5) Are you Really going to wear that in public? (yes, why do you think I put it on?)
Wrong question.  If it's dirty, exposes body parts not normally seen in public, will prevent him access to where your going .. tell him.  If you're embarrased by it, it's your problem, so fix the problem, or leave the relationship.

6) (Non-Sports fan females) What is so important about the (insert any sporting event)?  (I cant understand how anyone cannot know the importance of (insert any sporting event))
btw it's called the World series because it was sponsored by a publication called the World - has nothing to do with geographical reach.
Men like Sport, women like fashion.  Both are broad sweeping statements and are not universal, however generally, men don't understand fashion, women don't understand sport.  Accept, and enjoy the time with your 'mates' when watching the sport or shopping/discussing the outfits on Sex and the City.

Now, these are the questions I have been asked, by women.  Now, really, I have no idea what prompts these questions, and I am sure there are a few million others.

I mean, for me, the answers should be obvious, why ask me in the first place.....
because we are about to or not to spend time with you and we want to look our best for you (and you for us) or understand why you would want to do anything else than be with us ... and again what is obvious to a man/woman is not necessarily obvious to a woman/man

From an to date, completly unqualified personally accredited failure at the male/female dynamic ... so i wouldn't know!

(edited to fix a typo)

It is the baseball championship post season 7 game series between the National League Champion and the American league champions!

As I said before,  baseball, applepie,  women in collars, everything  america is..

kittinSol -> RE: In response to the thread: A question that's been asked millions of times... (6/14/2008 6:14:07 AM)

Ah yes, baseball, the American version of cricket... rings a bell now. Thank you.

Well, my Dom always comments on my clothes. he says, "nice dress and I like your shoes". I do ask him opinions on dresses for special events. I say which one do you like better than I model them for him and he gets to choose what I wear.

I do care. I am a submissive and I want to look good for my Sir.

If they dont like it, dont look? Thats an excuse used by those who have just given up. Besides what are we supposed to do to not look? Sear out eyes out?
