i like lj...you can put stuff behind a cut that you don't think that everyone on your friends list will want to read and you can screen who reads what by setting up custom filters.

I've blogged for quite some time at ALT and I'm satisfied overall with that portion of the site.

In fact, the blog feature there has led me to more R/T contacts than the actual site has! The site is *very* restrictive overall to non-paying members but the blog area actually is pretty open and can give you a much fuller appreciation of who the poster is than a thumbnail profile pic, which is all the average free member gets to see, ever will.

Any/all members can access the blogs, as well as non-members if you choose to let them. You can post pics, talk about yourself all you want, and the bloggers there run the gamut in terms of subject matter.
