OK, maybe you cross-dressers can help me out. I wear size 11–11.5 womens US size shoes (and that's if the shoemaker is honest about it). I lucked into a pair of so-called size 11 women's faux suede boots at Wal-mart (gag) last year, but they had Euro sizing on the box, too, and it was labelled as a 44. Hah! But that gave me the notion to bother trying them on (most US so-called women's size 11s are a joke...too small, and too narrow).
However...Google is NOT producing anything helpful in the way of boots in such sizes. I figure somewhere out there, these 6-foot-plus cross-dressers and drag queens have got to be keeping a few shoemakers in business at the large end of the size scale. Heck, even before I got my feet straightened out I was bumping into the end of the size range where all they carried was old lady shoes and nurse's professional wear. Mostly I wear 42 or 43 Birkies (unisex size range, huzzah!), but I'd really like to find some nice leather low or flat heeled boots.
Hints? or is it a trade secret?
