Status: offline 		If I get a call with 'blocked call' on the caller ID, my favorite way to answer is

City morgue, will this be pickup or delivery

I still cant understand why the line goes immediatly dead.....

Status: offline 		My dad used to always answer the phone "City zoo, I'm a lion, are you?" or if he was feeling really frisky he would say "This better be good!"

My friends never knew what to say. Half the time they would hang up or timidly ask, "Uh, is Deanna there?"

Status: offline 		I got a call for my mother yesterday (she passed away in feb of last year) and I responded with , she is dead right now, can you call back after we resurrect her?

Status: offline 		LOL that is cute I like that .... If it is someone that I don't know calling I will either say Gas Company ..... they get all confused and hang up .... Or will do something similar but usually Hillary's Whore House and they hang up ...
  I use to have a voice mail message that said to enter your name press 69696 and a bunch of other really strange stuff... had a few friends ask me if I got the messages they sent from my voice mail .... because they tried to use the selections on it an they woudlnt work lol

    i kinda like: "city zoo, i'm bear, are you?" 
    " biotech lab, please hold while we chase the specimines back into containment" 
    "city zoo, ape house, let's monkey around!"

    Status: offline     		with my ex i used to answer it dominos pizza.... sometimes i still do... so he orders a pizza, i tell him we don't have those, he asks for breadsticks, no luck... finally i just list off shit laying around and tell him it'll be a bit more than 30 minutes...

    he on the other hand used to answer it "...'s palace of love, how may i service you this evening?"

    Edited to add: Back when the kid was still a um, about 2 or so, I used to hand the phone to him when the salesman called. He loved to talk on the phone at that age and I figured someone should get to enjoy the call.

    Status: offline     		Well, I have begun to answer mine as CarQuest ... seeing as we get about 20 calls a week for them, I listen to what they need, then tell them I will look that up for them and hang up. "CarQuest" was a local car part company that went bankrupt over a year ago and we have their old telephone number.

    Status: offline     		If caller id shows a # unkown to me, I may pretend to be a recorded message and say " Sorry I can't take your call right now. If you're calling about the puppies, they are all gone except for the dead one. If you are interested in him, please leave a #".

    "Bonjour"
    (most machine telemarketers seem to be programmed to respond to "Hello" or a variant thereof)

    If I get an unidentified caller asking for Stella I tend to reply "This is Carlsberg. There is no Stella."

    Status: offline     		i have the old number for valley mental health.  we get so many calls from area hospitals, etc.  my son answers to a hospital call with hysterical, maniacal laughing until i finally grab the phone away from him and tell them they have called a private residence.  i don't know if they ever believe me or not but if i ever hear a news story about the police showing up at valley mental health with phoned in reports of the inmates, i mean patients there taking over i'll have to chuckle just a bit.
